2022 TVS iQube Launched With 140 Km Of Range & New Features, Prices Begin From Rs. 98,564

TVS Motor Company has introduced the updated iQube electric scooter for the 2022 model year. The model comes with comprehensive upgrades that include a better range, more features and improved performance as well. The 2022 TVS iQube is offered in three variants – iQube, iQube S and iQube ST. Prices for the new iQube range start at ₹ 98,564 for the standard version, going up to ₹ 1.09 lakh for the iQube S. Prices for the iQube ST are yet to be revealed. Bookings are open for the iQube and iQube S across the 33 existing cities where the scooter is currently on sale. TVS says it plans to add 52 more cities soon and pre-bookings are open across all 85 cities for the iQube ST for ₹ 999. Also Read: TVS Plans ₹ 700 Crore Investment; To Launch New Products By Mid-2022 The 2022 TVS iQube retains the same styling but gets new gloss and matte colour options The updated TVS iQube line-up gets 10 new colour options including Shining Red, Titanium Grey, Mercury Grey, Copper Bronze, Lucid Yellow, Starlight Blue, Coral Sand, Mint Blue, and Copper Bronze Matte and Titanium Grey Matte. The design language remains the same, while the company it has optimised the riding posture for enhanced comfort. The under-seat storage capacity has also improved and measures 17 litres on the iQube and iQube S, whereas the iQube ST gets 31 litres of space. It also rides on wider 90/90 12-inch tyres. The 2022 TVS iQube range continues to use a low noise energy-efficient hub motor. It comes with regen tech that allows to recover up to 10 per cent of energy and maximise range. The throttle response has also been smoothened. The range has improved considerably up to 100 km on the standard variants and 140 km on the iQube ST variant The updated iQube gets new-generation 21700 lithium-ion cells with an indigenous Battery Management System (BMS) and thermal management system. The company claims a range of 100 km on a single charge on the standard and S variant, while the iQube ST offers a range of 140 km on a single charge. TVS says there’s no loss in acceleration regardless of the battery’s state of charge. The top speed on the iQube and iQube S is said to be 78 kmph, which goes up to 82 kmph on the iQube ST. The new TVS iQube is available with three charging options. This includes a 650-watt, 950-watt and 1.5 kW capacity. The model comes with a shockproof AC plug, spike arrester, and auto shut down. The BMS controls over-voltage, current and high temperature. The battery is IP67 rated and gets an aluminium casing and is AIS 156 certified. The updated iQube has been designed to get into idle mode every second minute when it is not running. This provides an additional level of safety. The model also gets a unique modular harness architecture to isolate low and high voltage systems to reduce the chances of a short circuit. The 2022 TVS iQube gets a revamped digital instrument cluster with customisable themes as well as an updated suit of connected tech The electric scooter gets different connected techs on offer. The model comes with options of a 5-inch, TFT screen, a 7-inch TFT screen with HMI interaction and a 7-inch TFT dashboard with HMI and Touch interaction. The SmartXonnect offers different connected suits as well. This includes a revamped UI and UX that offers a simpler look. The new infinity theme allows customisation options on the digital cluster. You can also change the colour. The app also gives you details about the scooter’s range and critical functions. The cluster also displays turn-by-turn navigation, as well as calls, missed call alerts, messages and social media notifications. You can also pause music, skip or control volume.
