BMW Group has refreshed its highest-selling model, the BMW 3 Series for 2023 with a sharp design, revised interior, and carrying over the same powerplants. Along with changes to the front and rear section of the 2023 BMW 3 Series, the premium executive sedan also features a new curved display paired with the latest BMW Operating System 8. The new BMW 3 Series will be produced at BMW Group Plant Munich, as well as at BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosí in Mexico. We expect BMW India to bring the refreshed 3 Series to our shores next year, possibly by early or mid-2023. The redesigned headlights and kidney grille give the car a strong visual presence, while the standard full-LED headlights are now much slimmer, with clear contours and daytime driving lights arranged in an inverted L shape offering a modern look. In profile, not much has changed apart from the fact that the 2023 BMW 3 Series now sits on a pair of 17-inch light-alloy wheels. At the rear, the new BMW 3 Series has a higher proportion of surfaces painted in body colour with a clean-cut design lending it a particularly sophisticated look. The horizontal lines, slim light units, and flared rear wheel arches accentuate the width and muscular stance of the rear. The exhaust system’s tailpipe finishers now measure 90 or 100 mm in diameter, depending on the engine variant. The gear selector lever also has a new design and is positioned in the control panel on the centre console along with the Start/Stop button, iDrive Controller, Driving Experience Control buttons, parking brake, and other vehicle functions. An automatic climate control system with three-zone adjustment is fitted as standards and can be operated by voice command or touch via the display. Other new additions to standard specifications include an automatically dimming rear-view mirror, the extended storage package, and Park Distance Control (PDC) with sensors at the front and rear. The BMW 330e and BMW M340i are available with the automaker’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, and for 2023, 18-inch wheels are standard. All the engines for the new BMW 3 Series link up with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission as standard. BMW xDrive is standard on the range-topping models.
