Beadle & Grimm’s Beadle & Grimm’s Pandemonium Warehouse developed a reputation as a place where the well-heeled Dungeons & Dragons group can go to enhance their experience at the table. Whether purchased by the Dungeon Master on their own or by a group of players pooling their resources, theese premium boxed editions offer handouts, maps and all the other small things that immerse fans of the game into their fantasy world.

When they announced a Silver Edition of Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons I found myself wondering about the direction of the product. MORE FROM FORBES The Latest In Dungeons, Dice And Dragons For D&D Fans By Rob Wieland Previous boxes either featured adventures, like Curse of Strahd or settings like Eberron: Rising From The Last War . These products had elements that the company could focus on creating such as battle maps or important props from certain chapters of the adventure.

As I opened the review copy, I wondered how they would handle a book that’s built as a resource to add more details about dragons to everyone’s personal D&D world. Fizban’s Treasure Of Dragons: The Books Each Beadle & Grimm’s boxed set features the full book cut up into different sections. This makes passing the book around the table a lot easier and keeps sensitive information away from players.

The first book focuses on the player options available. Here you’ll find some excellent dragbonborn variants, class options for the monk and ranger. and draconic feats.

This book closes with dragon specific magic like spells and magic items. There’s discussion on everything from how dragons reproduce to their relationships to other powerful beings such as gods.

The last chapter focuses on that classic fantasy setting, the dragon’s hoard and how to build one that makes sense for the dragons the players encounter. The Draconomicon makes up the third book. This digs into D&D by talking about the different colors and types of dragons with the occasional mention of a famous example from the decades of books and tie-in media.

Each dragon type also comes with a ready-to-plunder lair with maps that are reprinted for players to use as they explore. The last book in this series features several dragons and dragon related creatures. These entries offer plenty of boss monsters but also some interesting twists on the formula as well.

My personal favorites are the dragonflesh grafters who try to gain power by sowing dragonflesh into their own, which is not at all a terrible idea. Dragon Tales From The Warehouse This book answered my question on how the box would support the dragon theme. It is its own collection of ten adventure frameworks that are built to be inserted into any campaign that feature original props from the box.

There’s even a full length adventure from Elisa Teague that features a fun puzzle element from a collection of pins in the box. The vast majority of the paper props are in support of these adventures. There are letters, diary entries and other items that can directly kick off the tale or be inserted into another story to let the players follow up.

There’s even a mysterious dragon’s tooth necklace that might be the key to a story. Dungeons & Dragons Encounters Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons is full of the gorgeous painted art that fans have come to expect from Dungeons & Dragons. The art is printed on cards that the Dungeon Master can show to the players during the game.

There are also four battlemats that can be used in encounters. 60 of the monsters from the Bestiary are also printed on encounter cards. These cards have the creature on the front and their statistics on the back.

They fit on the Dungeon Master’s Screen during a battle to remind the players what they are up against. Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons offers a fabulous way to enrich the dragons in any D&D game. It’s available directly from Beadle & Grimms.
