Babolat Babolat’s focus on spin gains an update with the upcoming release of new Pure Aero racket lineup. A revamp of the franchise includes new technology, new design, new graphics and new naming, all starting with the release of the Pure Aero and Pure Aero+ on Aug. 25.

The Pure Aero line, most famously endorsed by Rafael Nadal, has long been the spin-focused offering from French-based Babolat. That focus takes on an even more granular distinction with new Pure Aero rackets created for the “fast spin” player looking to hit the ball on the rise, the “strong spin” player hitting the ball aggressively at the top of the bounce and the “heavy spin” player dropping deeper in the court and maximizing spin as the ball drops. “We challenge ourselves to go beyond the typical differentiators of weight and balance,” says Antoine Bacha, Babolat product developer.

“We understand there are players who want to increase their ball speed, but others who lack the speed to hit it has hard as they dream. Other players are looking for a tighter string pattern to better control their spin. ” New graphics and fresh technology join together in the Babolat Pure Aero racket.

Babolat The flagship design of the Pure Aero launches Aug. 25 and features a new grommet design and the addition of flax at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock points on the fame, along with the handle. “The flax fiber in the new Aero models increases feel,” says Benoit Gilbert, Babolat performance lab manager.

“The flax fiber in the handle will focus on the sensation. ” MORE FOR YOU WWE Extreme Rules 2021 Results: Winners, News And Notes As Roman Reigns Beats The Demon The World’s Highest-Paid Soccer Players 2021: Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo Reclaims Top Spot From PSG’s Lionel Messi The Good, Bad And Ugly From The Green Bay Packers’ Win Over The San Francisco 49ers MORE: Babolat Furthers Tennis Footwear Line The Natural Flax Filtration Technology is new for Babolat. Flax is commonly used in the skiing industry as a natural dampening material and by dampening vibrations, the new Pure Aero models were designed to feel better even on off-centered shots compared to no dampening agent.

Using flax allows a more natural (less pin-like) sound at impact. The flax offers vibration dampening up to seven times more efficient than carbon fiber, along with an acoustic benefit of creating a “clean” sound, Gilbert says. Flax in the frame helps dampen vibration in the new Babolat Pure Aero.

Babolat While the overall distinct Aero frame shape remains the same, along with the FSI Spin string system, Babolat “fine-tuned the shape of the grommets to offer string movement,” Gilbert says. In the January 2023 release of the Pure Aero 98 (a replacement of the Pure Aero VS), the grommets are more cylindrical-shaped, so the string does not move as much. This allows for a focus on precision for the “fast spin” player.

The Pure Aero and Pure Aero +, with their 16×19 string patterns slightly more closed than the previous two releases in the line, offers grommets with a cone shape for additional string movement compared to the Pure Aero 98, ideal for the “strong spin” player. A new graphic design comes with the Babolat Pure Aero update. Babolat The “heavy spin” hitters drawn to the Pure Aero Rafa model can expect a new design launching in March 2023.

Babolat hasn’t announced the technological upgrades to the Pure Aero Rafa, but say the update will be more than cosmetic. Along with the new technologies, Babolat also introduced a bolder graphic design for the lineup. “It’s fresh,” says Babolat-sponsored player and ATP World No.
