Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Destiny 2 Bungie Alright, Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost launched with so many bugs, it’s time to recap where we are in terms of fixes so far. On day one, Bungie fixed a bug that would lock progression of the main questline. Last night, Bungie announced a fix that meant all event weapons would now drop with Origin Traits and with updated perk pools, when previously old versions without those were sometimes dropping.

This takes Horror Story out of the rotation completely because it was never updated. Now, it’s been announced that the most difficult gilded triumph to achieve, kill all Headless Ones on each of the four maps, is being changed. Currently, it is extremely easy for random players to burn down the boss before the final few spawn or are killed.

You also have to hit each of the 15 with damage from you personally, it’s not just that 15 can die overall. The overall number appears like it will be reduced on Tuesday to make this a bit less of a pain: I recently, finally completed this with Blueberries, but I guess I could have just waited until it got made easier. Here’s one of my runs where I make sure to tag all 15 champions: MORE FOR YOU Patrick Byrne Of Overstock Fame Says He Was Involved In Monthslong Effort To Overturn 2020 Election AEW, CM Punk Reportedly Discussing Contract Buyout CM Punk’s Potential WWE Return Is A Bad Idea Amid AEW Buyout It’s really the only hard challenge for Gilding, as everything else is just pure grinding with 35 runs to complete and 30,000 candy to acquire.

Unfortunately, these are not the only issues that remain plaguing the event. I have been told Bungie is investigating the 60-90 second wait timer during each run in which the boss will not spawn until time expires completely, no matter how fast you kill the first 10 Headless Ones, stopping the momentum of the activity dead. This was also happening last year and it’s unclear how this went an entire year without a fix.

The only other main issue I’d say after all these other ones are fixed is that page farming is exhausting, given that you have to do like, 3-4 playlist activities per Haunted Sector run to transform your pages, when really, the event should be more about farming the limited time activity itself. I’d boost pages from all sources, but instead they appear like they will remain the same distribution as last year, when they were also too low. I have been pretty disappointed with the state of the event at launch here, as I wish a lot of this had been taken care of before it was released.

I suppose they are working through these fixes relatively quickly, as two major ones will be done within the first few days, with another by next week, but yeah, this feels like a playtesting thing once again, which keeps coming up frequently with a lot of newly launched content. Granted, in a live game moving this fast it’s hard to fully test everything, but there have been a lot of pretty glaring launch issues lately with both seasons and events.
