Actor Fahmaan Khan, who became a household name with the daily soap ‘Imlie’, is now set to star in yet another show titled ‘Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii’, which premieres on November 28. The Free Press Journal caught up with the actor for an exclusive conversation. Introducing the audience to his character in ‘Dharampatnii’, Fahmaan says, “I am playing this business tycoon named Ravi Randhawa, who is fun and flamboyant, and though he is rich, he does not have an arrogance.
He has spent all his life loving just one girl, Kirti, right from his school days and he thinks she feels the same about him. While Ravi is otherwise confident, he gets a little tongue-tied when it comes to Kirti. But he enjoys the fact that there is this one special person in his life who makes him feel this way.

I believe that as an actor, I should present something different to the audience every time I come on screen. I played this very serious businessman in ‘Imlie’ who is out for revenge, but then I also played a doctor who is all heart in ‘Apna Time Bhi Aayega’.
I played a fun youngster as well in ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’. Now, with Ravi, I have turned into a person who is vibrant and energetic but also quite mature. So it’s a completely different space.

I have worked really hard and have gone through some very tough times to be in the position I am in today.
I know it will not be all butterflies from here on, but I have no qualms in continuing to work hard as I did for all these years. “Revealing what kept him going all these years, Fahmaan shares, “My journey has been nothing less than superb. I remember back in school, professors wrote a quote on the blackboard every day and one of them was ‘There is no substitute to hard work’, and I think that quote really stayed with me.
“On a parting note, we quizzed Fahmaan about the roles he wishes to play going ahead. “I want to play a gangster or a mafia boss. I want to do a docile and nerd character, and I also want to play a scientist.
The list is endless. But yes, the one thing that I am sure of is I want to play anything that’s different from what I’ve already done,” he concludes. Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 fame Mohit Malik’s wife Addite gifts him swanky car worth Rs 69.
