Fan’s death, tour ‘chaos’ keeping Taylor Swift from Travis Kelce on Thanksgiving: report

Earlier this week, a report suggested that America’s favorite lovebirds, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, would try to be together on Thanksgiving. The report from TMZ said they hoped to take by not only celebrating the national holiday as a couple but by bringing their families together as well. But Kelce revealed Wednesday that the couple won’t enjoy a romantic reunion on Thanksgiving, While not mentioning Swift’s name, Kelce said he would be “feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here.

” about Kelce and Swift enjoying Thanksgiving together because the South America schedule for Swift’s Eras Tour had been the thrown into “chaos,” following the death last Friday of a 23-year-old fan who attended Swift’s concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, amid an extreme heat wave. Kelce didn’t mention anything about Swift’s tour issues in a conversation with his brother, Jason Kelce, on their “New Heights” podcast, Page Six said. Jason Kelce, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, asked ”You won’t have anybody in there cooking turkey?” Travis Kelce responded: “If you want to make a quick trip you’re welcome at the house.

We’ll have plenty of food. ” On Monday, a source told Page Six that Swift was “devastated” after “the Brazil concerts” and “a fan dying. ” “The weather is extreme,” the source said.

“It’s a mess she didn’t expect. It’s been a traumatic experience. It’s been a lot.

” Ana Clara Benevides Machado fell sick during Swift’s concert in Rio de Janeiro’s Nilton Santos Olympic stadium on Friday, and other outlets reported. City officials said Benevides suffered a cardiac arrest and died at a local hospital after losing consciousness at the concert. Others in the crowd of 60,000 reported sweltering conditions in the stadium and lack of access to water, leading to scores of people fainting.

Swift said on social media that Benavides’ death left her with “a shattered heart,” while Slate reported that some are blaming the pop singer and the concert’s organizers for proceeding with the show despite unsafe conditions at the stadium. Swift has declined to comment further on the tragedy, but she postponed her Saturday concert until Monday. It was reported that Monday’s performance went well, though the singer had to perform some songs after the heel of one of her Louboutin boots apparently fell off.

Swift has a block of concerts coming up in São Paulo, Brazil on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Page Six said that “eagle-eyed fans” spotted Swift’s private jet landing in São Paulo on Tuesday, after leaving Rio de Janeiro earlier in the day. If Swift wanted to return stateside for Thanksgiving, she’d have to spend a lot of time in the air –albeit in that private jet — flying back and forth Brazil, about 11 hours each way.

Traveling “could end up being too much,” the Page Six source said. On the other hand, she “could want to come home” and be around loved ones “during this difficult time,” the source also said. appeared to confirm that Swift and Kelce had given up on the idea of being together for Thanksgiving.

The story shares how Swift and Kelce are looking forward to a “fairy-tale” holiday season, but only mentions that they have “big plans” to spend Christmas and the New Year holiday together — not Thanksgiving. Us Weekly notes that it’s a busy time of year for the singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. He’s finishing up the NFL season, and she has to continue the second leg of her Eras Tour, which began in Argentina earlier in the month.

Unfortunately, this second leg hasn’t gone as smoothly as the triumphant first, which broke records in North America, Following Benevides’ death, Swift waited until the 11th hour to postpone her Saturday show in Rio de Janeiro until Monday, to the dismay of thousands of fans who had already started filling the stadium. Swift reportedly was quite shaken up by Benevides’ death, as she is known for trying to maintain close ties with her fanbase, Page Six said. “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this,” Swift acknowledged on social media.

After performing in Sao Paolo this weekend, Swift should have time to enjoy a long break and comes to terms with Benevides’ death. The next performance for her tour is not scheduled until Feb. 7 in Tokyo.

“Taylor and Travis have the next few months completely laid out,” a source told Us Weekly. “They don’t want to start their relationship off with big gaps (in time spent apart). They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.

” A second source told Us Weekly that Kelce “has already started Christmas shopping and has some really special surprises [for Taylor) in store. ” The source added, “Their connection is off the charts, and they can’t wait to celebrate together. ” Earlier this week, TMZ reported that Swift and Kelce hoped to bring their families together for Thanksgiving, likely at Kelce’s home in Kansas City, Missouri.

But if a Thanksgiving reunion doesn’t happen, Us Weekly said the couple should have time over the Christmas holidays. They will likely spend time in Tennessee, where Swift owns a $2. 5 million 5,600-square-foot home, a third source said.

“Travis hasn’t been to Taylor’s Nashville place yet, so he’s really looking forward to it,” the source told Us Weekly. Swift and Kelce also are hoping to squeeze in visits with each other’s families before jetting off on a romantic getaway — just the two of them, Us Weekly said “They love (getting together) with their families and friends, but right now, what they value above all else is alone time,” the first source said. .
