A passing FedEx driver noticed the smoke and pulled over to help the driver and any other passengers just before a series of additional explosions from the car. ABC 10 San Diego caught the moment the FedEx worker pulled the man from the vehicle just seconds before the explosions added flames to the blaze. ‘As soon as I saw the car, it was still actively on fire.

He quickly unbuckled the man and pulled him out of the car, dragging him to safety on the side of the freeway. Video taken early Wednesday morning shows the FedEx driver pulling the man by his arms on the ground as another driver provides assistance.

Luckily, the other driver who had pulled over had a fire extinguisher and used it to fight the flames until firefighters arrived and put out the blaze. The driver remained conscious throughout the entire ordeal and was taken to Sharp Memorial hospital with at least a serious leg injury.
