Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Cyberpunk 2077 CDPR As I think about what guides are worth revisiting during what is essentially a second launch of Cyberpunk 2077, I have just run into something in my own playthrough that I’ve forgotten about for almost two years. Cyberpunk 2077’s secret ending. Cyberpunk 2077 has a whole lot of different endings that revolve around Arasaka, Johnny or the Aldecaldos, or some combination of them all.

But while getting to certain endings is pretty obvious, ie. you can’t call Panam for help you never played through her sub-storylines, there is one ending that can absolutely, 100% be classified as a secret, and it’s absurdly easy to miss because of how it was inserted in the game. And for some, it’s arguably the best ending, on top of that.

CDPR hid this ending, in which Johnny will volunteer to storm Arasaka alone, behind essentially just one very, very specific conversation with him. This conversation is necessary to reach 70% synergy with Johnny, which you can track on the main character screen. Screw this one conversation up, and you will be stuck at 60%, which is how my first playthrough went.

There’s no going back to fix it. CDPR 70% It does not matter if you agree with Johnny at every single turn throughout the rest of the game, it’s about this one scene in one mission, which begins with “Chippin’ In,” which has Johnny take over V and make contact with road, which will eventually lead you to learn where Johnny’s body was dumped in the Oil Fields decades earlier. The ending won’t start after this, it may still be a dozen or two hours away in your playthrough, it just requires you get this part right for it to even be an option later. CDPR Cyberpunk 2077 These are the exact conversation options you need to choose during this part: [Inscribe Johnny’s Initials] “Let’s do something about that. ” “The Guy who Saved My Life.

” “Nah, fucked that up too. ” “What do you want from me?” “OK. But as second chances go, this is your last.

” “You were a real dick in the beginning. ” “When you said you let down your friends. .

. ” “Smasher biz really got to her. ” “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue.

” So, you need to be sort of nice, but not butter him up too much, and yeah I have no idea how anyone figured this out first time. You will also need to finish out the rest of where this questline leads, which will eventually get you to a Samurai reunion show which will reunite Johnny with his old bandmates, and get him and V closer. There’s really nothing special you need to do here other than do the quest and play the show, and after that, you should be at 70% and ready to meet Hanako at Embers.

Johnny CDPR There is one final, tricky stage here. Once you make it to the rooftop above’s Vic clinic where you are brainstorming your final plan, you need to first choose the ending that lets Johnny go with Rogue. Then, when there’s an option to “put this to rest” you need to do…nothing.

You need to just sit there and wait for a minute or two, and eventually Johnny will propose the suicide run mission himself. And that’s how you trigger it. Why is it the best ending? Well, it’s the only one where you will suffer no extra casualties of people who come with you, plus it has the most intensive combat, which some may say makes it the best ending option.

Finally, not only is it hard , but if you die at any point, there are no do-overs, the game ends and you’ll hit credits. So be sure to quicksave before all this kicks off. It’s a frankly absurd process to get to this ending, incredibly easy to miss, but that’s why this guide is here.

I have managed to do it on my third playthrough without screwing anything up, so that’s been nice, after two years of missing out on it. Follow me on Twitter , YouTube , Facebook and Instagram . Subscribe to my free weekly content round-up newsletter, God Rolls .
