ISRO’s last PSLV launch of 2022: When and where to watch

Synopsis The ​​PSLV-C54/ EOS-06 mission with Oceansat-3 and eight nano satellites, including one from Bhutan, on board will blast off from Sriharikota spaceport on November 26. ANI The Indian Space Research Organisation( ISRO ) is all set to conduct its last PSLV mission of the year, with a rocket launch on Saturday. The PSLV-C54/ EOS-06 mission with Oceansat-3 and eight nano satellites, including one from Bhutan, on board will blast off from Sriharikota spaceport on November 26.

This will be the 56th flight of the PSLV from India and the fifth and final launch of the vehicle in 2022. The 44. 4 meter rocket will launch with a lift-off mass of 321 tonnes with its primary satellite being the Earth Observation Satellite-6, also dubbed the Oceansat-3.

Spacetech startup Pixxel will be launching its third hyperspectral satellite – Anand – onboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). Anand is a hyperspectral microsatellite weighing less than 15 kg but having more than 150 wavelengths that will enable it to capture images of the earth in greater detail than today’s non-hyperspectral satellites that have not more than 10 wavelengths. The imagery from the satellite can be used to detect pest infestation, map forest fires, identify soil stress and oil slicks amongst other things, a statement from Pixxel said on Monday.

When will the launch happen? The launch is scheduled at 11. 56 am on November 26, said the national space agency. Where to watch As with all major launches, ISRO will be conducting a live stream of the launch.
