Mahesh Babu breaks down at father Krishna’s funeral; Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Ram Charan and others pay last respects

Mahesh Babu’s father, superstar Krishna, passed away in the wee hours on Tuesday (November 15). He was 79. Several celebrities from the Telugu film industry, including Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR, reached Mahesh Babu’s residence to pay final respects to his father.

Photos from his residence have gone viral on social media platforms. In the pictures, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan can be seen consoling Mahesh Babu, who broke down in tears at his father’s funeral. The mortal remains of Krishna were shifted to Gachibowli stadium around 5 pm for the public to pay their homage.

He was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest. Krishna’s demise comes two months after his wife and Mahesh Babu’s mother Indira Devi passed away. Earlier this year, Krishna lost his elder son Ramesh Babu as well.

Krishna acted in more than 350 films in his career spanning five decades. He also produced and directed a few films. He entered the film industry in early 1960s with small roles.

He debuted as the lead actor with the 1965 movie ‘Thene Manasulu’, which became a hit. They had two sons including Mahesh Babu and three daughters. In 1969, he married actor Vijaya Nirmala and had one son from her. She died in 2019.
