Blizzard Entertainment I wrote an explainer last week about Overwatch 2 ’s Competitive mode . At the time, I touched on some of the rewards you’ll receive, but just for the sake of clarity, I thought I’d share the number of bonus Competitive Points you’ll earn at the end of each season, depending on your rank.

MORE FROM FORBES ‘Overwatch 2’ Competitive Mode Explained, Including How To Unlock It By Kris Holt As a reminder, you will no longer play traditional Competitive placement matches. You’ll only be ranked on an Overwatch 2 competitive ladder after you win seven games or lose 20 in each queue. There are three distinct Role Queues (one each for Tank, Damage and Support) and another for Open Queue, in which you may end up playing any of the three roles.

Player pools are also split between controller and mouse and keyboard inputs. Regardless, you will only receive bonus Competitive Points (CP) based on your highest rank at the end of a season. So, if you end the season with a Platinum rank for Tank, Gold rank for Damage, Silver for Support and Diamond for Open Queue, you will only receive the Open Queue reward, which is worth 750 CP.

Here’s what you’ll get at each tier: Bronze: 65 CP Silver: 125 CP Gold: 250 CP Platinum: 500 CP Diamond: 750 CP Master: 1,200 CP Grandmaster: 1,750 CP Those who finish in Diamond, Master or Grandmaster ranks will also receive a special player title. You can choose which one to use from the Customize section of the Player Profile. I believe this will be displayed to the rest of the lobby before a Competitive match begins, as well as on your profile.

Players who end a season in a Top 500 leaderboard for any role will also receive a special player title. There are also player title rewards for those who win 250, 750 and 1,750 games in Competitive mode in Overwatch 2 (this progress won’t carry over from Overwatch 1 ). On top of that, winning a Competitive game will earn you 10 CP, while a draw will earn you three CP.

The only thing you can spend Competitive Points on at the minute are Golden Weapons for each Overwatch 2 character. It costs 3,000 CP for each Golden Weapon, so you’ll have to grind out a ton of games to earn one. Follow me on Twitter or LinkedIn .
