First, to answer some common questions I’ve been getting: Overwatch 2 is free-to-play, but you need to connect a valid mobile phone number to your account. Here’s how to do that. You do not need to buy the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack to play the game.

Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch. Here’s a guide on how to download Overwatch 2 . Here are the Overwatch 2 PC system requirements .

The game has cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms. You can merge your accounts from across PC and consoles and have access to all your skins and other items, no matter where you first earned them. More details here.

Overwatch 1 players will have access to all the skins, voice lines and other cosmetics they unlocked in the original game. They will also get access to new Support hero Kiriko immediately. New players who buy the premium Season 1 Battle Pass will get immediate access to Kiriko too.

Otherwise, they need to reach level 55 of the free Season 1 Battle Pass. The premium Battle Pass costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins, worth $10. All players who log in during Season 1 will immediately unlock Sojourn and Junker Queen.

New players will need to play around 100 games to unlock every Overwatch 1 hero. Overwatch 1 players get access to Competitive Play immediately, as long as they reached level 25 in the original game. New players will need to win 50 games of Quick Play before they can enter ranked play.
