Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Soo-gwang’s luck is about to change thanks to Seul-bi’s gift for predictions. KBS2 Having the ability to predict someone’s future has not always been a blessing for Seul-bi or her mother. The psychically gifted women are locked away from the outside world by a cold-hearted CEO who wants to employ their powers solely for his family’s success.

Jinxed at First is a fantasy comedy, but like the fairy tales it emulates, this Korean drama offers some real-life insight into human relationships. Seul-bi, played by Seohyun, lives a pampered life, but with stifling restrictions that dim her bright spirit. All she knows about the real world is gathered from her limited reading material and she believes, like a fairy tale princess, that she will one day meet her prince.

Seoul-bi flits around her enchanted cage like a colorful songbird, waiting for her powers to fully manifest. Yet, it’s those very powers that ensure her captivity. Then one day her fated prince shows up in the form of Soo-gwang, played by Na In-woo.

Although he is not an actual royal and has no money or power, he is a prince of a man—kind, polite, smart and good to his mom. When he somehow manages to set her free, she follows him and, with childlike glee, revels in the outside world. She’s so odd and helpless in the world that he decides to take her home, only to have this good deed ruin his life.

His princely behavior results in a tragic twist of fate and leaves him with the reputation of being unlucky. Fortunately, Seul-bi does not forget him and when she can finally escape she sets out to find him. Can Seul-bi change Soo-gwang’s luck and help him regain the life he so richly deserves? Of course.

He’s her prince and she will do what she can to make sure his fortune changes. Seohyun creates a funny relatable character in Seul-bi, a woman whose bright optimism is perhaps her truest power. That power will help Seul-bi rescue the prince who initially rescued her.

The Girls Generation singer and actress has taken a variety of roles lately, playing a con artist in the drama Private Lives, and a woman looking for a different kind of relationship in the film Love and Leashes . Na appeared in the dramas River Where The Moon Rises and Mr. Queen .
