Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse was a visual tour de force and a tremendous follow-up to 2018’s Into The Spider-Verse. I’m working on my review, but the short version is easy: Go see it on the biggest screen you can find.

Today is 2XP Friday for all of you competitive Wordle players out there, so don’t forget to double your points (including negatives). It’s also yesterday’s Riddle Reveal, though normally we do that on Thursdays. I forgot to include the Riddle on Wordle Wednesday this week, so it’s all a day late and a dollar short.

My bad! This Week’s Riddle: What always ends everything? The Answer: The letter ‘G. ’ Did you get it right? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook . Alright, let’s do this Wordle! Today’s Wordle Credit: Erik Kain Wordle Bot Analysis After I complete a Wordle I always head over to check in with Wordle Bot to see how I scored, both in terms of each individual guess and whether or not I outsmarted the Bot. Not nearly as hard a word as yesterday’s Wordle , which very nearly stumped me, but still a bit tricky and I got a bit lucky with my opening guess, miles.

I chose that word because I’ve just seen the new Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse movie and the main character is Miles Morales (and spider doesn’t fit). This left me with 19 remaining words and two yellow boxes. I wanted to test out the letter ‘A’ so I guessed chair and got lucky with the ‘H’.

In fact, I was so lucky there was only one word left: humid for the win! Today’s Score: A good day all around. I get 1 point for guessing in three and 1 for beating Wordle Bot, who guessed in four. 2 points X2 for 2XP Friday = 4 total.

Huzzah!!!! That’s my best day in a long time, which is funny because yesterday was my worst day in a long time . Go figure! Today’s Wordle Etymology Today’s word actually has more in common with a Greek dipping sauce than I ever realized! The word “humid” originated from the Latin word “humidus,” which means “moist” or “wet. ” It is derived from the Latin noun “humus,” meaning “ground” or “earth.

” The connection between “humidus” and “humus” lies in the concept of dampness or moisture associated with the earth or ground. Over time, the Latin word “humidus” was borrowed into Middle French as “humide” and eventually entered the English language as “humid” in the 16th century. The term “humid” is used to describe an atmospheric condition characterized by high levels of moisture or water vapor present in the air, typically resulting in a feeling of dampness or stickiness.
