Tori Lee, 31, had been driving through Campbelltown in Sydney ‘s south-west between 5.

45pm and 5. 55pm last Saturday when she stopped at the intersection of Blaxland Road and Campbelltown Road. The woman told police when she sounded her horn at a black Mitsubishi sedan in front of her, the driver got out of his car and punched her in the face.

The man then attempted to drag her from the vehicle before she was able to drive away, seeking medical assistance at Campbelltown Hospital. Ms Lee has since been transferred to Liverpool Hospital where she has undergone surgery for multiple facial fractures. In a video posted online, Ms Lee recalled how the man in the Mitsubishi had been driving up close behind her after she had tooted her horn at him at a previous intersection when he had failed to take off at a green light.

Ms Lee said she had raised her hand to apologise at the driver but he had not reacted well and had tried to ‘to cause an accident, trying to run me off the road’. She said the man got out of his car and was ‘yelling stuff’ at her as she sat terrified in her vehicle. Ms Lee said she rolled her window down to speak with the angry man, and turned to lower the volume of her music before he allegedly punched her face.

‘I just started bleeding profusely from my nose,’ she said. Tori Lee, 31, was left with facial injuries after she was allegedly punched in the face by a male driver during a road rage incident in south-west Sydney last Saturday Ms Lee said she had ‘blacked out for a second’ before looking around to see if she’d been hit in the face with an object, but said she realsied that she had in fact been hit by the owner of the Mitsubishi. She said she looked up at the man and he was smiling like he was ‘very proud of himself’.

Ms Lee said she then locked the car door and tried to reverse into the other lane, almost hitting the person behind her. ‘I rang whoever I could as quick as I could and took myself to Campbelltown hospital,’ she said. ‘He was very big, over 6 foot and over 100kg.

I am five-foot-four, about 92kg and also a female. ‘ CT scans revealed that Ms Lee had multiple fractures in her face which required surgery. Ms Lee said she had tried not to look at herself in the mirror because it made her ‘very upset’.

She said in posting about the ordeal to social media she hoped the public could assist her in obtaining any information about the incident. She said she did not get the man’s details because her first priority was getting herself to hospital. Ms Lee said she has been left unable to work and that her sister had started a GoFundMe page to raise money to help with medical costs.

Ms Lee warned others to not react if they were caught in the middle of a road rage episode. ‘Just ignore it’ she said. Ms Lee underwent surgery for multiple facial fractures after the incident The incident took place at the intersection of Blaxland Road and Campbelltown Road in Campbelltown, south-west of Sydney Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident and have released a description of a man who may be able to assist investigators.

Police believe there would have been motorists who witnessed the incident, or who would have dash cam relevant to the investigation.

Detective Inspector Andrew Mackay told a media conference there was ‘certainly no violence from (Lee) at all’. ‘It’s very shocking, it’s disgusting behaviour . .

. we take all incidents of violence very seriously,’ he said. ‘Someone will have seen what occurred, it was just before 6pm on a Saturday, it’s a busy intersection with a lot of cars around, I need the public’s help.
