S. Rajamouli are joining forces for an upcoming grand project, tentatively titled ‘SSMB 29’ (Superstar Mahesh Babu’s 29th film). Some unconfirmed reports suggested that the film is set to be mounted on a massive budget of Rs 1000 crores.

However, soon after the news was published, a source overturned the rumors of its budget and told Deccan Chronicle, “These reports are baseless and unfounded since they haven’t finalized the final budget yet. Also, the production house is capable and prepared for big investments as per the demands of the script”. The film, directed by Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu, is said to be an exciting action-adventure drama.

According to a previous report by Pinkvilla , ‘SSMB 29’ is said to be an exciting African Jungle adventure film. The makers are considering partnering with international studios to ensure its global reach. Reports indicate it is based on Dadasaheb Phalke, often called ‘the father of Indian cinema’. Rajamouli’s Dream Project Mahabharata In an interview in May last year, SS Rajamouli expressed his dream of creating a film based on Mahabharata. He said, “If I get to the point of making Mahabharata, it would take me a year just to read the versions of Mahabharata that are available in the country. At present, I can only assume that it would be a 10-part film.

” It is Rajamouli’s long-held dream of making a feature based on the Hindu epic. Adding more, he said, “Every film I make, I feel that I’m learning something to make Mahabharata ultimately. So that’s my dream, and every step is towards that.
