Montucky Cold Snacks Montucky Cold Snacks wants your input in selecting its first mascot. This quirky beer brand, which wants to expand its fan base, launched its debut mascot competition earlier this spring to engage with consumers in a novel way. After reviewing hundreds of video submissions, it narrowed the entries down to twelve semi-finalists where fans can vote for their favorite contender until May 26.

“For years, Montucky Cold Snacks has celebrated the notion that we are guided by our diverse community of fans,” says Seamus Gallagher, vice president of marketing for Montucky Cold Snacks. “Day in and day out, our fans write to us and claim to be our number one fan, requesting for us to sponsor their lifestyle, or declaring that they should be the face of our brand. “Realizing that we had to put our money where our mouth was, we devised a plan to do just that – put their face on our beer.

This is the genesis of the Montucky Mascot Contest. ” With no rules or parameters, the competition invited participants from across the country to submit video submissions declaring why they should be the winning face that will cover more than 100,000 cans of Montucky Cold Snacks craft beer. Besides the bragging rights of seeing their face on their beer, the winning Montucky Mascot will also receive some pretty unusual prizes.

“Rather than hiring a celebrity or influencer to be the face of Montucky’s summer program, we’re tapping into our community of loyal fans and we’re super proud to do that,” says Gallagher. “The Montucky Mascot winner will literally be the face of our brand. They will be front and center everywhere from our cans to our one NASCAR truck brand placement for the year.

Additionally, we’ve developed a host of fun places for them to show up as the brand spokesperson. ” The mascot competition is part of Montucky’s broader strategy to differentiate itself from other beer brands and appeal to a younger, more adventurous audience with marketing campaigns aimed at Millennials and Gen Z consumers, Gallagher says. Gallagher notes that what sets it apart is its commitment to giving back to the community. For every case of Montucky Cold Snacks sold, the company donates 8% of proceeds to local charities and non-profit organizations. With its initial mascot competition, Montucky Cold Snacks is hoping to build on its success and continue to engage with its customers in new and exciting ways, he says.

The winner will be announced on May 31 from among the 12 semi-finalists who include: Audrey Landis , Bear Champlain , Brian Coleman , Christopher Grim , Colin Mulligan , Danny Spec , Erik (Eidem) Johnson , Jacob Smith , John Gutz , Kyle Richard , Robert Miller , and Ryan McNamara . “The debut title will be held for one year, until our second annual Montucky Mascot competition, and we anticipate that someone else will be brave enough to try to dethrone them,” Gallagher says.
