” Juliette Scauso’s father Dennis was one of 343 firefighters killed in the attack on the World Trade Center. Scauso has joined protests against the LIV Golf tournament, which is funded by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund and has been offering massive payouts to attract top golfers. Critics say the tournament is intended to obscure Saudi Arabia’s links to terrorism.
“And for that to be hosted by a former president is even more disgusting,” she said. “It’s hard to find the words,” Scauso said on CNN’s New Day Tuesday morning. “I think the 9/11 community, we’ve been pretty outspoken about our issue here.
And I’m very proud to say that I think we’ve gotten our message out quite far,” Scauso said. “I’m sure, Mr. Trump knows about us.
. . he knows how we stand.
. . this is blood money that you’re taking.
” 9/11 family members have written to Trump, asking him to cancel the tournament , writing in a letter “we simply cannot understand how you could agree to accept money from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s golf league to host their tournament at your golf course, and to do so in the shadows of ground zero in New Jersey, which lost over 700 residents during the attacks. ” MORE FOR YOU How To Become A Translator CNN’s John Berman: Arizona ‘Sham Audit’ Proves Donald Trump ‘Even Bigger Loser Than The First Time’ ‘Cut Him Off, Cut Him Off Now!’ Newsmax Anchor Ends Interview When Guest Criticizes Donald Trump South African golfer Charl Schwartzel plays a last shot on the 18th hole during the third and final . .

Fifteen of the 19 terrorists who hijacked four passenger jets on 9/11 were Saudi nationals, but the Saudi government has long insisted it had no involvement whatsoever with the attacks.
The 9/11 Commission concluded that there was “no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded” al Qaeda. Families of 9/11 victims have asked for the release of more information about 9/11, which they believe will reveal deeper involvement between the Saudi government and the al Qaeda terrorists who carried out the attacks. “The Saudi nation is largely responsible for the death of our loved ones and for the horrific attack on America.
And you know it,” 9/11 Justice, which represents survivors and family members of the terrorist attacks, said in a letter. The former president has suggested that golfers should ignore the protests and join the LIV tournament, telling them to “take the money now. ” Trump National Golf in Bedminster, New Jersey, will host the LIV tournament starting on July 29.
