Written and directed by Tarun Dudeja the film, follows a group of dejected women played by Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi, who decide to take a chance and fulfil their own dreams. As they set out on an adventure, we see the reality of them coming to terms with life, exploring a new world. Like life, not everything goes well, but they come out learning from their journey and will leave the audience with a sense of accomplishment or the inspiration to begin something new and more.

begins with their journey, which doesn’t set off at the right start. The girl gang does not have the best rapport nor do they know what they are really getting themselves into. The one leading them is Sky, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh an automobile vlogger who obviously has separate intentions of her own for taking the other women on the trip.

She hopes to sell a story to her followers to gain clout and also convenience a company to sponsor her auto expo trip. But the story she sets out to sell is what makes the film a great watch. The makers take time to introduce each character of the story.

Ratna Pathak Shah plays Mahi, the biker nani who only ever wanted one thing to impress her family and going to Khardung La seemed like the best way to do it. Sky and Mahi hire Uzma played by Dia Mirza to be their on-road mechanic, a wife who barely is allowed to make decisions of her own. Finally, they are accompanied by Manjiri played by Sanjana Sanghi who only wants the chance to figure out life without her overprotective mother.

They set out for a trip that would change their lives, but the way it does that isn’t exactly in their hands. With good production value, the filmmakers have made great use of real locations and real people. Still, majorly the seriousness of the film comes from its actors.

Even when they face any challenges, no matter how dramatic, it is the performances and their sincerity. In one of the scenes how the gang having to get away from an overflowing river, while their bikes and luggage are trapped, the VFX in the scene may not be the best but it is the actresses panicking in the more relatable way that will get the heart pumping. Meanwhile, screenplay of the film is slow paced and dips more at certain points but the dialogues by Ratna Pathak bring more life into the film.

The amount of laughter and relatability all female audiences of different ages will feel in the film is incredibly well written. The simple yet clever writing also takes a dig at itself as a scene shows a monk trying to ask about Bollywood gossip, and another features a worker in Leh revealing that after working there for years he does not find the mountains beautiful. The film has much to offer but the audience should be willing to spot it.

One of the best parts of the movie is that it does not define what kind of women are better or who is the lead, it leaves all the characters to be themselves not shaming or questioning each other. Instead, we get to see them accept each other and see themselves through the eyes of others. There is no doubt these characters are not perfect they are flawed but they do set out to right the wrong they believe in.

The film truly shows how to celebrate women the right way, women coming from all walks of life without having to pull anyone down for their choices, whether it is daal tadke wali or orgasm wali. It’s a rare feat and the film should be celebrated for it. Overall, will definitely make your heart pump and also down in the right moments.

It’s the perfect watch for sisters, siblings and anyone who wants to feel inspired to do something in their life. One dialogue in the film sends the message out right, the more you take the journey the more you learn and your life gets easier. .
