With Freeform entering the 25th anniversary of its annual “31 Nights of Halloween” film and tv show lineup, viewers who enjoy tales of ghosts and goblins (on repeat) will be able to find their fix. Last year, this spooky seasonal lineup catapulted Freeform to the No. 1 spot among primetime cable networks in entertainment across adults aged 18-34, women aged 18-34 and women ages 18-49 (excludes news and sports) for the October time period.
The channel relies upon a strong does of Halloween film nostalgia paired with exciting premieres and a strong does of brand awareness from viewers who grew up with ABC Family as it transitioned into Freeform. Top new titles that will appear this year include Freeform’s premieres of Encanto , Zombies and Zombies 2. But it’s also very exciting to see Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween and Little Shop of Horrors available, since it has been difficult over the last year to find those film in other streaming locations.
( Little Shop has been available to purchase, but most of those fees start at $25 for the 1986 musical starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin. ) It’s also worth noting that Hulu subscribers can view Freefrom films via their Hulu app. 31 Nights of Halloween on Freeform Freeform “Over the last 25 years, our viewers have grown up with ‘31 Nights of Halloween’ as a time-honored tradition to watch Halloween favorites and connect with their loved ones during this special time of the season,” says Simran Sethi, EVP of Programming and Content Strategy, ABC Entertainment and Freeform.
