Jewelry Holiday Wish Lists Of Those In The Know 2023

Jewelry journalists, publicists, buyers and retailers see an unprecedented amount of jewels throughout the year. The Press sees an onslaught of emerging and renowned brand’s collections. Publicists see those they represent, those who desire their representation, plus all others at trade shows and fairs.

Retailers view modern and antique pieces or both, sometimes both, depending on what they sell. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to hear from those who cover, promote, market and sell jewels regarding the one piece they are coveting for Holiday 2023. Let’s see if any of these jewels inspire the one you’d want to own this season: Tanya Dukes “I was instantly smitten when I saw this ring from the up-and-coming brand Tabayer.

It’s a piece that chimes with my own keep-it-simple sensibility. Doing simple jewelry well is exceedingly difficult, and creative director Nigora Tokhtabayeva’s taste is spot on. The proportions of the twisting bypass shape are just right substantial but easy to wear.

And the reverse-set diamond feels edgy and chic, not aggressive. Knowing that the ring is made from Fairmined gold from artisanal mines with stringent environmental and labor practices is another feel-good element. I’m biding my time, but it will be mine.

” Rose Gold and DIamond Ring Arianna Clemenza “Sitting at the top of my holiday wish list is the Future Fortune Lucky Charm ring, a horseshoe motif set in 18K yellow gold with bezel set round diamonds and stars engraved on the inside. Horseshoes have always represented good luck and protection and that is definitely something I’d like to carry with me into the new year! This style ring reminds me of an heirloom that would be passed down from generation to generation and would make for a truly special gift. ” Horshoe Ring Laura Lapitino “I love De Beers Jewelers’ new RVL collection; it’s super modern, distinctive, and overall universal pieces you can style so many different ways.

I particularly have my eye on the RVL bangle in rose gold. It is a piece you never have to take off, is ideal for stacking, and would perfectly complement my watch!”- bracelet Jennifer Gandia “The piece I’m coveting this year is the Oera Pavé Diamond Oera Bracelet by Tabayer. This bangle can add texture to my current arm party, or I’ll wear it alone for maximum elegant impact.

That’s what I love about this collection; it artfully manages to be bold and timeless, wrapped up in an uber-chic aesthetic. ” Tabayer Bracelet Michelle Peranteau “Appealing to my love of beautiful, aged things, this pendant from Single Stone hits all of the high notes! The Astrea, with nearly seven TCW of old cut diamonds on an 18K gold chain with gorgeous heft, is one of those pieces that I know I will love for years to come. ” Diamond Orb Pendant on Diamond Chain Amy Elliott “My holiday wish list is a miles-long situation, but when I was scrolling on my phone to remember some favorites from the year’s jewelry trade shows and events, I was reminded of these Erica Molinari bunny charms, which I spotted at the Couture show in June 2023.

They are all detailed with hand-painted vitreous enamel and made in 18K gold with diamonds (one of the little guys has pearls). Erica Molinari creates the artwork for them herself. That makes each one very special and unique.

I would add them to a jumble of charms, maybe hanging from a vintage fairy charm keeper, to double down on the whimsy. I also happen to covet these charms because, well, I adore rabbits. They’re a harbinger of spring I look forward to every year (and Rabbit is my Chinese zodiac sign).

” pendants Jennifer Levitt “Oh, the things I would do for an Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. Mesh Scarf Necklace. This iconic accessory is made from woven links that form a fluid mesh.

The way it sinuously drapes the shoulders is nothing short of perfection. This piece remains as fresh and chic as it did when it first debuted in 1975 Necklace Elizabeth Doyle “Ruby is my favorite stone. I have several pieces featuring rubies, but I have wanted a sizable ruby for a while now.

I love this ring because the large central Burmese ruby is the ideal shade of red. The classic setting has a frame of old European cut diamonds that enhance the ruby without overshadowing it. An exceptional stone like this ruby doesn’t need a highly ornate mounting.

The beauty of the stone is enough on its own. ” . Ruby Ring Anne Russell “My preference in jewelry is always classic and elegant versatile pieces.

The best piece of jewelry is one that doesn’t sit in your jewelry box. This necklace is one of my favorites because it’s a little non-traditional with a double row crossover, but it lays so beautifully on the neck, with a baguette straight line over the brilliant round diamonds; the effect is both elegant and tailored. Baguette diamonds mixed with rounds are always a favorite combination because incorporating both shapes feels modern and vintage.

Inspired by Deco designs from our 111-year Hamilton Jeweler’s history. And it elevates your everyday look without being over the top. ” necklace Phyllis London “It can be challenging to choose one piece for the holidays when faced with so many gorgeous gems every day, but you know when jewelry truly speaks to you.

The first time I saw this Serpentine Jewels ring, I fell in love with it. It feels vintage – I love the Art Deco vibe, yet it still feels very contemporary. It can be worn as a pinky ring, which is super chic, but I would wear it as a right-hand cocktail ring or as an alternative to my engagement ring when I feel like switching things up.

It also reminds me of some of the jewelry my mom passed down to me from my grandmother, whose name was Phyllis and who I was named after – she was a jewelry lover!” Ring Camille Zarsky “On my wish list this year is one of Jemma Wynne’s latest Moi et Toi collection necklaces. I’m especially drawn to the diamond and emerald pendant versions as I deeply love emeralds paired with diamonds and yellow gold. Everything the Jemma Wynne design duo of Stephanie Wynne Lalin and Jenny Klatt speaks to my heart; we are also working on a set of Colombian emerald pendants custom commissioned for our store designed by them.

” 18K yellow gold, diamond, and emerald Moi et Toi Connexion Necklace. Necklace Becky Stone “There are a lot of pieces on my jewelry wish list, but one that I can’t get out of my head is Sophie Gardner Jewelry’s gorgeous carved pendants. I love how she brings out the beauty in the natural stones she works with; I’m totally in awe of her skill.

My problem is that I can’t decide which piece I would want: a seashell or a pair of ethereal wings? Which gemstone? Which style? Which color?!? I will need to decide. . .

or make room in my jewelry box for more than one piece. ” Sophie Gardner from IG.
