Trump argued Engoron’s wife and his law clerk—who Trump has repeatedly made digs against—have “taken over control of the New York State Witch Hunt Trial aimed at me, my family, and the Republican Party,” adding: “This is such an embarrassment to all within the New York State Judicial System, as murder and violent crime rage like never before! ”Trump has escalated his attacks on members of the court since his gag order was lifted earlier this month, resulting in “hundreds” of harassing and threatening messages to members of the court’s staff, according to an affidavit written last week by an officer in the court. Several of those attacks targeted Engoron’s law clerk Allison Greenfield, who Trump called “politically biased and out of control” and “crooked and highly partisan,” posting a link to a National Pulse article that showed Greenfield attended an event where attendees supported James and posting a photo of Greenfield with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

After repeated attacks on the court, Engoron issued the gag order against Trump, prohibiting him from making public comments against members of Engoron’s staff, after Trump posted the picture of Greenfield with Schumer on Truth Social. The gag order was then expanded to cover Trump’s legal team, with Engoron claiming three Trump attorneys—Christopher Kise, Clifford Robert and Alina Habba—made “repeated inappropriate remarks” about Greenfield. On Nov.
