Got it! Jul 3, 2022, 12:29am EDT | Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin WWE Money in the Bank 2022 results Credit: WWE WWE Money in the Bank 2022 advertised the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank Ladder matches, in addition to four championship matches with a title of some sort at stake in every match. One title that would not be on the line is WWE’s top title as Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns was out for the second consecutive pay-per-view amid his new part-time schedule. Reigns has not defended either of his world championships on pay-per-view since WrestleMania 38.

Money in the Bank 2022 was originally set to emanate from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. Due to low ticket sales for the massive venue, the event was moved to the smaller, more intimate MGM Grand Garden Arena. Former WWE Superstar and current AEW world champion CM Punk did not miss an opportunity to troll WWE for its humbling move to a smaller venue.

As of this writing, the event is a near sellout in its new home. WWE Raw viewership remained high with John Cena’s return and an average viewership of 1. 951 million.

Last week’s broadcast of SmackDown garnered 2. 231 million coming off a massive number the week prior. WWE Money in the Bank 2022 Match Card Riddle vs.

It seemed that Liv Morgan was repeatedly playing spoiler to Becky Lynch. After scoring a win last night, tonight just might be her night.

Of course, Raquel Rodriguez was in the vaunted giant slot, where the whole field conspired against her due to her size. Liv Morgan used Christian’s famed balancing act from WrestleMania 25 to win her first Money in the Bank briefcase and hopefully her first championship. Becky Lynch winning would have made MITB seem like a prop in a Becky Lynch storyline.

Liv winning makes it seem like a major career accomplishment, and therefore a bigger deal. Bobby Lashley def. Theory Every time Theory teased the A-Town Down, it felt like he was trolling John Cena’s Attitude Adjustment.

This was a tremendous, old-fashioned babyface vs. heel match with good storytelling and even better callbacks. Lashley winning was a surprise, especially considering WWE is “heating up” Theory for Cena.

Bianca Belair def. Carmella Corey Graves was tremendous throughout this match as Carmella’s cheerleader. Following Bianca Belair’s win, Carmella started beating her down, leading to a buzz throughout the crowd as fans expected Liv Morgan to possibly cash in.

She didn’t, as Belair quickly recovered. Cashing in on a fallen Belair wouldn’t have been a very babyface thing to do anyway. Surprisingly, Belair’s feud with Carmella is trending toward continuing given the post-match angle.

The Usos def. The Street Profits The announce team continued to talk up Montez Ford’s impressive gains. The Street Profits might not be for long.

Not only were there chants of “this is awesome” and “fight forever,” but there was also a standing ovation toward the end. This match was unbelievable. Despite being pinned, Montez Ford had his shoulder up.

If there is a rematch, you wont get any complaints from me. This match was legitimately good enough to be tag team match of the year at the very least. It was better than any storyline-deficient tag team match from the Forbidden Door.

Rousey def. Natalya; Liv Morgan Cashes In Though Ronda Rousey and Natalya struggled to get the crowd back after a banger of a tag team match, this was a really good story of student vs. mentor.

Natalya really shined at every level of this feud, including this match. Liv Morgan’s cash-in was about as babyface as it gets without announcing a cash-in beforehand like John Cena or RVD. In a MITB first, Ronda Rousey even raised her hand.

This was a well-deserved feel-good moment for Liv. Theory Wins Men’s MITB Moments after a potential tease for Bray Wyatt, Adam Pearce really built up an eighth participant, only for the reveal to be Theory. Omos was in the vaunted Raquel Rodriguez spot in this match.

Please see the women’s MITB recap above. Riddle hit a massive RKO from atop the ladder and I feared this was done to give him a chance to shine because he wasn’t winning. Theory winning Money in the Bank after losing the United States Championship at least keeps him relevant ahead of an inevitable showdown with John Cena.

WWE needs new stars, and regardless of how anybody feels about Theory, at least they’re trying with somebody young. After the event went off the air, Happy Corbin attacked Pat McAfee. See you at SummerSlam! Follow me on Twitter or LinkedIn .
