Post-Christmas crime spree sees presents stolen from church and cars

While most of us exchanged gifts and showed kindness to fellow human beings, others went out to steal stuff from others. A series of post-Christmas saw people take presents meant for other people. Even a church was not off-limits as a church in was targeted by thieves who made off with presents, an electric keyboard and a mixing deck.

While presents were also stolen from a car in . Gloucestershire police have issued a number of about the crimes in the hope of spreading warnings about not leaving valuables in cars. There is also the hope that people may have information to help catch those responsible for ruining Christmas for the victims.

Incident 250 of 26/12/2023. Two suspects have used what is possibly a crowbar to force open a church door to gain access, they have then kicked open an office door. Offenders have stolen items including an electric keyboard, a mixing desk and some Christmas presents.

The incident happened in Stroud Road, Gloucester, at 6. 30am on Sunday, December 24. Incident 087 of 26/12/2023.

The back passenger window of a vehicle has been smashed and items including roughly £30 cash, two Nike jackets and some Apple AirPods have been stolen. Incident in India Road, Gloucester, between 12. 30am on Monday, December 25 and 10am on Tuesday, December 26.

Incident 082 on 26/12/2023. An unknown male has entered an unlocked vehicle and stolen a wallet containing approximately £00 cash and bank cards. Incident in Spring Lane, Stroud, at 4.

44am on 26/12/2023. Incident 095 of 26/12/2023. A male wearing a black Under Armour coat, blue and red hoodie and white trainers can be seen on CCTV using a crowbar to break into an outbuilding.

The offender removed the door and stole an amount of alcohol stored in the building. The offender was on a pushbike and had a dog with him. Incident in Vale Road, Bishop’s Cleeve, between 8.

30pm on Sunday, December 24 and 9am on Wednesday, December 27). Incident 093 of 27/12/2023. Unknown offenders have gained access to a business premises by climbing through a rear window.

Till drawer and housing have been stolen and an unknown amount of cash. Incident in Rotunda Terrace, Cheltenham, at around 9. 03pm on Tuesday, December 26.

Incident 301 of 26/12/2023. Offenders have gained access to a property by unknown means, possibly picking a lock as no sign of forced entry. Offenders have turned lights on and searched the property.

Three high-value watches and an amount of jewellery have been stolen. Incident in Imperial Square, Cheltenham, on Tuesday, December 26. Incident 074 of 26/12/2023.

Offenders have smashed the passenger window of a vehicle parked on the road. Presents left on the rear seat have been stolen, items including a jewellery box, Puma trainers, white gold earrings and bath products. Incident in Crescent Place, Cheltenham, between 6.

30pm on Tuesday, December 26 and 7. 30am on Wednesday, December 27. Incident 062 of 27/12/2023.
