Facebook parent company Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has announced his latest project to create high-quality beef. The project, described as Zuckerberg’s ‘most delicious’ endeavor, involves raising cattle on his top-secret compound in Hawaii. The aim is to produce some of the best-quality beef globally, using wagyu and angus cattle fed on macadamia meal and beer grown and produced on the ranch.

The announcement has sparked a divisive response, with supporters and critics debating the environmental impact of cattle-raising. Facebook parent Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced his latest project. On Tuesday, January 9, the Meta CEO shared the project with the world.

Zuckerberg said that his latest project – which he described as his “most delicious” – is to “create some of the highest quality beef in the world”. The 39-year-old founder of the world’s most-popular social networking platform Facebook outlined his plans in an Instagram post. The Instagram post details how his top secret compound on the island of Ko’olau, in Hawaii, would now be used for cattle-raising with the aim of creating some of the best-quality beef in the world.

Zuckerberg’s Instagram post “Started raising cattle at Ko’olau Ranch on Kauai, and my goal is to create some of the highest quality beef in the world. The cattle are wagyu and angus, and they’ll grow up eating macadamia meal and drinking beer that we grow and produce here on the ranch. We want the whole process to be local and vertically integrated.

Each cow eats 5,000-10,000 pounds of food each year, so that’s a lot of acres of macadamia trees. My daughters help plant the mac trees and take care of our different animals. We’re still early in the journey and it’s fun improving on it every season.

While some have supported him. His post has also received backlash from non-meat eaters. “That is an absolutely ridiculous waste of money, land and resources,” reads one comment.
