​​How to unlink your Instagram account from other social networks

Unlinking your Instagram account from other social networks is a simple process, and the steps may vary slightly depending on whether you’re using the Instagram app or the website. Here’s how to do it on both: On the Instagram app: Open the Instagram app and tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of your profile.

Select Settings. Tap Account and then Sharing to Other Apps. You’ll see a list of social networks your Instagram account is connected to.

Tap the one you want to unlink. Tap Unlink Account (Android) or Unlink (iOS). Confirm by tapping Yes, I’m sure.

On the Instagram website: Go to https://www. instagram. com/accounts/login/?hl=en and log in to your account.

Click your profile picture in the top right corner. Click Settings. Click Account Center and then Accounts & profiles.

Find the social network you want to unlink and click Remove. Confirm by clicking Remove account. Additional notes: Sharing past content: Unlinking your accounts won’t automatically remove past content that you’ve shared to both platforms.

You’ll need to delete those posts manually if you want them removed. Re-linking: If you decide you want to reconnect your Instagram account to a social network later, you can easily do so by following the same steps and selecting Connect instead of Unlink.
