WWE talent is also reportedly pushing for a Bray Wyatt return. Wyatt has remained mostly quiet since being shockingly released from his WWE contract in July of last year. With Tony Khan and AEW signing high-profile former WWE talent, to mixed results, Khan admitted to being interested speaking with the former WWE and Universal champion.

“I really like Windham (Rotunda). I know him a little bit and I really enjoy him,” Khan said. “The last time I saw him was at Chris Jericho’s birthday party and that was a long time ago.

Wyatt and Vince McMahon reportedly had a rocky relationship that soured toward the end of Wyatt’s tenure amid abysmal storylines with Braun Strowman and Randy Orton.

With Triple H in charge, Wyatt could be incentivized to return to WWE and resume his unique creative vision with less sabotage from McMahon. Bray Wyatt made headlines on Twitter this past weekend with one of his patented cryptic posts. The thinly veiled tweet—which doubled as a brutally honest love letter to pro wrestling—could be easily deciphered in parts.

First, Cena posted a screenshot of the above-mentioned tweet before posting a photo from their polarizing, yet classic, Firefly Fun House Match. If WWE wants to maintain its momentum, it will need bankable talent like Wyatt, who remains a merchandise mover for WWE even in his absence .

Top star and WWE Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns is effectively a part-timer, while top stars Randy Orton and prized free agent Cody Rhodes are currently out with long-term injuries. Triple H has wasted no time bringing back released talent, including Dakota Kai and Karrion Kross and Dexter Lumis. All three former NXT stars have returned in main event storylines.
