As the other motorist hit the rear of the vehicle, a loud bang is heard and the tyres skid on the road and the front is out of sight. The video was shared on to Tiktok where it amassed 54,100 views. Some said the driver who switched lanes at short notice was at fault, leading the second driver to collide into them. Other viewed the road markings, suggesting the driver switching lanes ought to have exited the roundabout. A person said: ‘If you look carefully there are these massive arrows on the road, dash cam was in correct lane.
A second added: ‘That will teach him how to use roundabouts. Well done camera man! I would do the same. ‘ Others thought the driver with the dashcam ought to have slowed down for the motorist in front to swap lanes.
The Highway Code stipulates drivers should never switch lanes on a roundabout without indicating.
