” The throw is unfortunately out of stock online at the moment but is still available in stores. It’s approximately 130cm by 160cm and comes with an LED Controller with up to 10 heat settings. Made from 100% super soft polyester, it’s nice and cosy, plus it has a one to nine-hour timer.

It’s also machine washable once the controller and lead are removed. Each has overheat protection and three-hour, auto-off function, and six adjustable heat settings. It means you can use lower settings when using as a throw blanket, and higher settings for preheating your bed before settling in for the night.

The gadget costs just pennies an hour to run. Recent figures from CheckaTrade shows that the average cost of running your heating per hour is 7p per kilowatt-hour. This means that if you have a 24 kW boiler, it might cost you £1.

68 an hour. It means that if you have your heating on overnight for eight hours, it could cost you £13. 44.

Plus, Argos shoppers can’t get enough of a “lovely” winter gadget that costs just 3p to run and is cheaper than Aldi.
