Queensland Fire and Emergency services were called to the massive crash on Heritage Drive and Beaudesert Nerang Road at Mount Nathan in the Gold Coast hinterland at 10. 16am on Saturday.

The incident sent nine people to hospital, one of which is in a serious condition.

Multiple paramedics assessed the patients at the scene before they were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital. A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said eight of the patients were transported in a stable condition with one in a serious but stable condition. Gold Coast Police were also on the scene to help direct traffic.
