Ms Kelly, 31, left the Family Assessment Centre for vulnerable mothers and children in Colindale at 7. 40pm on September 19 with her two children.

Metropolitan Police said the family left in a blue Ford Fiesta which drove away ‘at speed’. Both infants were found at an address in Harwich in Essex today and were taken into police protection before being sent to hospital as a precaution. A 63-year-old woman was arrested at the address in Essex today on suspicion of child abduction, assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.

She remains in custody at an east London police station. Jamie-Leigh Kelly, 31, (pictured) is still missing as her three-year-old daughter and newborn baby boy were found today Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford, who is overseeing the investigation, said: ‘We are very pleased, and of course relieved, to have found the two children after extensive enquiries over the past few days. They are safe and well and receiving precautionary medical attention.

‘Jamie-Leigh was not present and our work to locate her continues. I urge anyone who may have helped facilitate the movement of the children, or who may be assisting Jamie-Leigh with transport or accommodation, to come forward to police now. Call 999 or go to a police station immediately.

‘Jamie-Leigh, I continue my direct appeal to you to contact us. We are asking you to please pick up the phone and have a conversation with us so we can meet with you. Please contact us on 020 7175 0793 or go to a police station as quickly as possible.

‘ Two other people – a 52-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman – have been charged in connection with the investigation. They are due to appear in court tomorrow. Ms Kelly’s sister, Rebecca Kelly, previously made an emotional plea asking for her sister, niece and nephew to arrive home safe.

Speaking to the Mirror, Rebecca said she was a ‘brilliant mum’ and that ‘I’d tell her to come home, she can get help, we can provide help for her. ‘ The blue Ford Fiesta that Ms Kelly got in with her two children in Colindale, north-west London on Tuesday ‘She’s not alone. I just know that she’s scared.

‘She’s a brilliant mum, she’s not really got the support or help she’s been crying out for. She’d never hurt her children, ever, she’d never put them at risk. ‘ Rebecca said she had tried to contact her sister but had not heard from her.

‘I’ve messaged her on Snapchat, I’ve tried ringing her but her phone’s off,’ she said. ‘I think she left her phone behind where she panicked, I’ve tried contacting her and put things on social media. ‘ Ms Kelly is described as white with green eyes, of slim build and about 5ft 4ins tall.

She was wearing a white jumper or long-sleeved t-shirt, white jogging trousers and white trainers.
