Tests on PC Mark and Cinebench came out with impressive numbers. By pressing the Fn and P keys together, HUAWEI Matebook D 16 will give you the recommended optimal mode for the current task, thus powering up your needs as the case need be.
While not for hardcore gamers obviously, it handled Counter Strike and multi-tasking between office software quite adeptly. Editing 4k videos on Final Cut Pro were a breeze and had no lag handling quick tasks. Fan noise and sound output were also pretty much standard.
Antennas up!
HUAWEI is touting a new Metaline Antenna (MA) structure that is available with the Matebook D 16. Compared with average antennas, the MA has 56% better signal-conversion efficiency, according to claims. In the same network environment, it offers 2dB and 2.6dB better upload and download signals, respectively. Even under weak Wi-Fi signals, the downloading speed is increased by 55%, while the lag in gaming and video conference are decreased by 57% and 67%, respectively.
Verdict
The HUAWEI Matebook D 16 is all-rounder considering it has a premium design, a large display, portability, good visuals and decent performance standards – all at an attractive price point.
