A COUPLE transformed a DPD truck into the world’s most futuristic camper van – full of secret storage space and hi-tech gadgets. Ladi Jecminek and Margaret Miller, who met when she hitch-hiked a ride in his van , took on the task of this outrageous makeover together. 7 A couple have shown off their transformed delivery truck Now they have shown off the results of what the pair call their “futuristic ‘tiny home'”, full of impressive features .
They bought the former DPD delivery van for £9,500 three years ago. And the pair say they have spent “countless hours” working on it. They posted a video tour on YouTube, saying: “We tried to be as innovative, creative and practical as possible to ensure this van is perfect for us in all the many years to come.
” The interiors include a reclining couch, fresh water storage, a fully kitted-out kitchen and a “tech wall” including camera gear. The van also boasts 1kW solar energy, two panoramic roof windows, two showers – one inside and the other outdoors – and a 3D printer, in a nod to Ladi’s profession in the printing industry. Showing off their wall of gadgets, including a high-powered camera drone, Margaret says: “It might look a little bit crazy but it makes travelling with camera gear so much easier.
” The van’s tech doesn’t stop there, as the kitchen’s appliances include an oven, a freezer, a stove, a fridge, a coffee machine and a blender.
