The Ryzen 7000 series, which use the new 5nm Zen 4 architecture, will have four SKUs at launch – the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X and Ryzen 5 7600X. AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series AMD Pricing – they’re cheaper than the leaked prices The pricing above is slightly lower than recently leaked amounts , which is good news for consumers. However, they are still significantly more than their previous generation equivalents.
The Ryzen 5 5600X, for example, currently retails for $199 and Intel’s Core i5-12600K retails for $240, so for the $299 Ryzen 5 7600X at least, performance needs to be significantly better than those CPUs. AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series AMD Thankfully, the Ryzen 9 7950X was $100 cheaper than the leaked pricing at just $699, likely due to Intel’s next flagship expected to offer more cores, while the Ryzen 9 5950X has seen a price cut to $549. The Ryzen 7 7700X too was much cheaper at $399 versus $499, while the Ryzen 7 5700X retails for $253.
However, the Ryzen 7 5800X still retails for around $300. Both X-series chipsets will see motherboard availability in September with B-series models in October. AMD now has its own version of XMP profiles – meet AMD EXPO Technology AMD EXPO Technology will allow for one-click memory configuration and appears to be its answer Intel . .
. [+] XMP AMD An interesting feature coming to Socket AMD motherboards and DDR5 memory will be AMD EXPO Technology. This appears to be AMD’s version of Intel’s XMP.
While AMD motherboards support XMP, AMD EXPO Technology-certified memory kits will offer one-click optimisation for AMD Socket AM5 motherboards. At launch, speeds of up to 6400MHz will be supported with kits from the likes of Adata, Corsair, G. Skill and Kingston offering EXPO support.
Socket AM5 will be supported through 2025 Socket AM4 has seen an extremely long lifespan and AMD has hinted that more CPUs could be coming its way in future too. However, for those concerned about Socket AM5 enjoying a similarly long and happy life, AMD has confirmed that it will be support through 2025 at least, giving a minimum of three years from launch.
