BY announced on August 30, that it would be integrating new artificial intelligence (AI) and NFT tools that are specifically tailored towards academia and parents. These new tools are being introduced through Animoca’s ed-tech subsidiary, TinyTap, whereby educators and parents can use the platform to create educational games that offer a dynamic, engaging learning experience. By integrating AI, educators and platform users will be able to swiftly construct these educational games based on topic-specific prompts.

Through this functionality, the platform generates a fully-fledged game within minutes, aligned with the chosen theme. For individuals who are visual learners, TinyTap also introduced its text-to-image tool, which allows for the creation of visually captivating educational images to enhance graphics and gameplay. The power of these AI generator tools is harnessed from over a decade’s worth of data residing within the TinyTap system.

This wealth of information encompasses the “learning architecture of over 250,000 games, millions of activities, and more than 170 million plays. ” TinyTap’s CEO, Yogev Shelly, told that the AI output has been calibrated to ensure the generated games adhere to age-specific appropriate parameters, or as he referred to them as “governors. ” There are two different tools in which these topics come to life – the text to image generator and “Practice Anywhere,” which takes existing media content and transcribes it into content and games.

In other words, it scrapes the internet for any DIY videos, YouTube explainers, etc. He explained that topics initially come to life through explanations and are then subsequently transformed into activities designed to test concept comprehension and create a more personalized learning experience for each child. However, the beta tools currently available are limited to just single-topic prompts.

Shelly shared that there are plans for expanding this out in the future. “As we evolve our AI integration, our goal is to achieve full prompt comprehension to create engaging and enjoyable TinyTap games,” he told CoinTelegraph. The Future of Ed-Tech Educational technologies, or ed-tech, are certainly underutilized in today’s academic infrastructure, keeping the classroom and learning experience fairly robotic and unrealistic with practical applications.

Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca, emphasized the need for this type of transformative impact that emerging technologies such as AI can bring to the educational landscape. The more tasteful, accurate, and efficient content that can be generated only serves to expand TinyTap’s educational platform and offerings. Beginning in Q4 this year, TinyTap will collaborate with Open Campus allowing NFT holders and EDU token holders to mint TinyTap games they create into digital collectibles.

This initiative injects new liquidity into education and broadens the horizons for educators. As the world anticipates a “smart education system” marked by blockchain, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), NFTs, and AI elements, TinyTap’s integration of these tools represents a significant stride in realizing this vision. The fusion of cutting-edge technology and education holds the promise of a brighter and more personalized learning journey for young minds.
