As Meta aims to put Reels at the forefront, its many active creators who’ve been using its platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and even WhatsApp are set to benefit tremendously. Many of these creators, ordinary people like you and me, have been using these platforms to educate and entertain their audiences on a broad range of topics from fitness and traveling, to photography, comedy, and more. In fact, thanks to Meta’s platforms, many have gone full-time with their creative careers.

The U. S. tech giant now aims to raise the bar to help grow more upcoming creators across the world.

“The opportunity for content creators is bigger than ever,” said Revie Sylviana, Director of Creator Partnerships, Southeast Asia. “Creators are turning their passions into skilled professions, and at Meta we will continue to invest in ways for creators to earn money and build their community. From fashion to AR filters, artistic content to entertainment – we are excited to see the rise in creator entrepreneurs.

” On October 19, 2022, Meta unveiled its Creators of Tomorrow, a showcase that casts a spotlight on diverse individual creator entrepreneurs across Asia Pacific, inspiring a new movement of creative content online. These creators were selected based on their originality and for breaking out amongst their communities online. They have also demonstrated a best-in-class approach to video formats, technology, and interactive entertainment — creative qualities that Meta sees as integral to the metaverse.

As Meta works toward the metaverse, it intends to nurture their creators’ careers and give them and other creative entrepreneur access to cutting-edge tools, education, and resources. The goal is to ensure that they’re at the forefront of new opportunities and innovation. With many creators on Facebook and Instagram, it’s crucial for them to stay updated with Meta’s technologies and tools.

The tech giant regularly hosts dedicated sessions and workshops. Most recently, creators were brought to Vietnam to experience the “Reels School”. Here, they were educated on the latest best practices on the evolving format.

Meanwhile, in Thailand, Meta hosted a Reels creator meet-up and masterclass to help local creators gain new creative skills for their future content creation. Creators in the Philippines were educated on best practices through hands-on training and live classes with lifestyle, fashion, comedy, and motoring creators through the Creator Huddles. As a bonus, some Creators of Tomorrow are set to meet their regional peers at Meta Creator Week in Indonesia at the end of October to collaborate, learn from each other, and continue to find inspiration in the future of content creation on Meta technologies.

To give you a taste, here are some of the creators that’ll be representing Southeast Asia at Meta Creator Week: Golfwashere from Thailand, AR and VR pioneers like Mitsuko Ono from the Philippines, comedy and entertainment creator Karmalogy from Indonesia, Saigon Teu and Pit Ham from Vietnam, food creator Jeeca from the Philippines, and Diyana Halik from Malaysia. For many of these creators, they enjoy what they do and hope to turn their passion into careers. “I want to spread positivity and share valuable information in a fun and entertaining way through my original content,” Karmalogy said.

Siravariety, an Entertainment Creator from Thailand, shares similar sentiments. “I want everyone to feel empowered and true to themselves, and I love to use Instagram to share my Thai pride with communities all over the world. ” Many of these creators take pride in what they do and wish to challenge themselves continuously.

“I want to make something never-before-seen or even never-before-imagined and I get inspiration from everywhere and from everything, even from the most mundane things. My new goal is to make more interactive experiences for both AR and VR by leveraging all the new features Meta has developed for creatives to push the boundaries of art and technology even further,” Ono said. Joshua Michael, an Entertainment Content Creator from Malaysia, has a much larger dream.

“My aim is to inspire young Indians in the country to never give up their dreams and always strive for excellence, not perfection. ” All the most important VR announcements from Meta Connect 2022 Meta’s wristband controller ‘will learn and adapt to you’ 2 men stranded on highway get free food & drinks thanks to helpful Facebook group Meta has made thousands of dollars from hate speech ads, report finds Cover image sourced from Meta’s Creators of Tomorrow . .
