Six are members of the YPO community—founded in 1950, the leading CEO organization, with 30,000 plus notable members across 142 countries, 450 chapters, employing 22 million, and USD 9 trillion in annual revenue. Learn more, be inspired, and hear their stories in the 11 video interviews appearing with the non-profit IEEE TEMS (interviews by Stephen Ibaraki). IEEE is the world’s largest technology engineering organization known for their standards work.

The women are spotlighted below with direct links to their interviews and are not in any particular order. All of these insights are from my daily pro bono work across now more than 400,000 CEOs, investors, scientists, and experts. Six Leaders in YPO Diana Daniels Diana Daniels ( video interview page ) is the Chairwoman and founder of Cronos Group, a multi-country carrier of carriers providing services to connect people around the world.

She is also Founder of TinkerLink a social marketplace helping communities to get jobs and get paid. She is the Chair the Alumni Scholarship foundation of the Stanford Executive Program, giving NGO founders chances to attend the Program. Founding Partner of Reaction Global a VC fund where their thesis investment is to measurably improve one billion lives within a decade, by scaling innovations that will change the world.

Active member of YPO where she serves in several Boards, such as the Impact Advisory board, the Editorial Advisory board, and also as Engagement Officer for the Leadership Development Network. She is the first Female Chair of the Greater Europe chapter and as Learning Officer helping the region to increase diversity for women inside the YPO Athena Program including more female executives into the network, but also developed programs an initiative to foster social inclusion, like the Leaders without borders, a Mentorship Program for Refugees and YPOers; established the iXchange Program that delivered over 100 internships to the young adults daughters and sons of YPO. Diana founded the first YNG Incubator, where more than 50 young founders were able to further develop their ideas into actionable and sellable services and products, to potentially apply for funds, to scale their ventures.

Diana is also Founder of Opulix a digital platform giving voice to unheard Spanish speaking authors. Her goal is to make an impact in the way we all connect. Tamara Loehr Tamara Loehr ( video interview page ) is a globally recognized and award-winning entrepreneur, including a Gold Stevie Award in New York for Fast Growth, Fast Starter Top 20 and 3rd place in Smart Company.

Tamara started her first business, a branding and marketing agency, at the age of 19 years old after graduating from university with a Bachelor of Visual Arts. Tamara became an 8-figure self-funded entrepreneur in her 30s through creating and selling eco-luxe beauty and wellness products online, direct to consumer. As an advocate for net-positive brands and ‘business for good’, Tamara recently co-founded Beusail, a marketplace and community where conscious consumers use their purchasing power to make a collective positive impact.

Beusail’s mission of ‘Buy 1, Support 1 and Give 1’ supports female founded brands that are ethical and committed to giving back. Tamara’s legacy is to contribute 10M Buy1Give1 impacts per annum. As a subscriber to the ‘profit and purpose’ philosophy, Tamara passionately believes business will change the world’s problems, not government.

She also acknowledges that this is no longer isolated to billionaire entrepreneurs but businesses of any size. Since its launch in 2021, the marketplace has supported dozens of female brands through online sales. It has also created over 25,000 impacts to the SDGs to date.

As part of her commitment to bridging the gap in female entrepreneurship, Tamara Loehr has also turned her focus to mentorship. With a scarcity of 8-figure active female mentors, Tamara wanted to create a place where women could be supported and mentored in their entrepreneurial journey, no matter what stage they were at. This gave birth to the Beusail Academy, which was launched in conjunction with the marketplace, providing mentorship to female founders from around the globe.

Each year the Beusail Academy mentors and trains women in business that total over $450M per annum in revenue. Their mentorship contributed to an average of 44%+ in growth to last year’s mentees businesses. Tamara is part of less than 10% of women in Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Originally a member of The Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Tamara was the first member in Queensland to take the role of president in under three years. Tamara graduated the Entrepreneurs Masters Program at MIT in Boston (also known as the ‘Birthing of Giants’) in 2019 and is now an Alumni member. With her business interests and now being in America, along with her focus on impact, Tamara is a founding member of the first Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Impacts Chapter, North Star, as well as a YPO Hollywood member.

Noni Purnomo Noni Purnomo ( video interview page ) began her career at Blue Bird Group as a member of the technical staff, the stepping stone to becoming the President Director of Blue Bird Group Holding (PT PCD) and a Commissioner of PT Blue Bird Tbk in 2014.

She was elected to serve as President Director and CEO of PT Blue Bird Tbk in mid-2019. At the end of August 2021, Noni became President Commissioner/Chairperson of PT Blue Bird Tbk. Noni Purnomo is a founder of Blue Bird Peduli, a philanthropic arm of Blue Bird, co-founder of several Angel Investment Companies and an active Mentor of several Startup companies.

Noni holds a bachelor’s in Industrial Technology from the University of Newcastle, Australia, an MBA from the University of San Francisco (major in Finance and Marketing). In 2019 she received an HC Doctorate from the University of Newcastle, Australia. She is the recipient of numerous honours for her business acumen and philanthropic and community-oriented activities.

Fleur Heyns Fleur Heyns ( video interview page ) is Dutch and started her career at J. P Morgan in London after graduating from Oxford University with an MSc in Biochemistry. In 2000 she left investment banking to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities including co-founding Global Trader (Africa’s “Robinhood”).

After its successful exit in 2007 Fleur returned to Oxford’s Skoll faculty to become introduced to the concept of “impact investing”. Fleur seed funded several investments funds and businesses with ESG and impact themes and is currently co-founder and CEO of Proof of Impact, the world’s leading ESG and impact data insights platform. Since 2010 she has been studying the ancient philosophy of Vedanta which promotes the practice of driving dynamic activity with a peaceful mind through scientific analysis of the subject, “you”.

She launched the Young Presidents Organization (“YPO”) Global Impact Investing Initiative “Y3i” as well as the first “purpose chapter” to help business leaders lead more impactful lives. Emma Hoch Emma Hoch ( video interview page ) is a young leader who creates impact by leveraging powerful networks. As the first YNG (YPO Next Generation) Global Impact Officer, she led the charge of the impact journey for 20,000+ YNG members.

Her goal, to expose members to the world changing possibilities that the YNG/YPO network possesses and inspire them to take action for a cause close to their hearts, whether it is for the environment or helping refugees. As a One Young World ambassador, Emma has spear-headed the collaboration between the two global networks, to enable YNGers to be a part of the next generation of thought leadership, and help them make the connections needed to amplify the impact they want to make. Next to co-founding the first global YNG “Hack the Future” Hackathon, she is part of programs connecting refugees to YPO mentors, as well as advocating and supporting YPO companies to reduce their CO2-emissions.

Her big passion is to connect the dots between young leaders and organizations, CEOs as well as experts. Outside of her work in global networks, she is part of a young women team to improve conversations and connections between users and their loved ones through “Wondr”, a mobile app, first launched as connection students on walks during the pandemic in Amsterdam, and is growing across Europe to help people with their holistic self development. Emma is studying Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam.

Aban Bottlewala Aban Bottlewala ( video interview page ) currently serves as the Impact Networks Director at YPO which is a global leadership community of 30,000 members from around the world. YPO’s key mission is a shared belief that the world needs better leaders. Aban supports YPO’s impact initiative which believes that business is a force for good in the world beyond generating prosperity and wealth.

Achieving impact beyond profit motivates YPO members across the world to make a difference in lives, businesses and communities. Aban has over 20 years of diverse experience in various multi-cultural environments in leading and successfully executing key initiatives in areas such as Strategy and Operations, Business Analysis, Change Management, Process Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales & Marketing, Project Management and Event Planning. Aban began her career in the service industry with The Taj Group of Hotels in India before moving into working with the Intercontinental Group in Thailand.

She has worked extensively in Southeast Asia and was part of the pioneering team that developed the first hotel revenue management and customer information frameworks in India. She is deeply committed to being an authentic leader by practicing transparent behavior in order to build strong relationships. Outside of work, she is a complete book-nerd, enjoys photographing architecture and loves her annual pilgrimages to India’s tiger sanctuaries.

Five Leaders of the World Christa Gyori (CEO) and Dr. Tatiana Kazakova (Chief Strategy Officer) — co-founders of Leaders on Purpose Christa Gyori ( video interview page for both co-founders) is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Leaders on Purpose, an organization that supports multinational businesses in the transition to become more sustainable enterprises. She is an international executive with 20 years of senior experience.

Having spent much of her career as an executive at Unilever, Christa was a founding member of their North American FS Sustainability Council. Inspired by a mission to address the SDGs while helping leaders maximize value for organizations and stakeholders, she co-founded Leaders on Purpose with colleagues from Unilever, Harvard, the World Bank, and the London School of Economics. Over the past 5 years as CEO of Leaders on Purpose, she has worked with and studied the world’s most inspiring leaders and CEOs and, she and her team have developed insights and methodologies to support leaders in embedding purpose at the core of business strategy.

She is a co-founder of SysMeta, an intuitive systemic data exploration platform and visualization tool. She also sits on the board of Space4Girls, an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for girls and young women in space and innovation through STEM programming. Christa was the 2013 winner of the TED Global-Unilever innovation award.

In 2018, she was named a Conscious Leader of the Year by Conscious Company Magazine. She was awarded the role of Harvard T. H.

She has worked with leaders across 5 continents, has an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and regularly serves as faculty for Harvard’s Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership.

Dr. Tatiana Kazakova is Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of Leaders on Purpose. Leaders on Purpose mobilizes multi-national corporations to adopt a purpose-centered business approach to accelerate impact systematically.

As a strategist at heart, her focus is developing the pathway for a systemic transition towards a business logic in service of our planet and society. As a board member of the advisory committee of Space4girls she advances Astropreneurshipâ„¢ – by Supporting young women throughout the world to become innovators in the fields of (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and inspire the next generation of leaders in the rapidly growing space Industry. She speaks frequently on the purpose-first economy, systems transformation and systemic value creation at global events and regional events around the world. Her academic background in applied mathematics, systems theory, strategic decision making under uncertainty and strategy is underlined by both, experiences in qualitative social sciences research and natural sciences.

In one of her former roles in corporate strategy in one of the leading strategic management consultancies in Germany, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe, she gathered extensive expertise in corporate strategy and digital strategy development, innovation processes and acceleration, strategy implementation and organizational transformation in mobility, tech, industrial goods and financial industry sectors. For her ethnographic Ph. D.

on strategy practices in decision making under uncertainty in c-suites of corporates and ventures across industries, she was recognized with the honorary speech, nominated for the William H. Newman All-Academy Award of the Academy of Management where she published amongst other international outlets in the best papers proceedings. Tatiana holds a Ph.

D. in Strategic Management (HEC Montreal, University Hamburg) and a B. Sc.

and M. Sc. (diploma) in Mathematics with a specialization in Finance (Chalmers University of Technology, University of Technology Kaiserslautern).

Julie Hill Julie Hill ( video interview page ) is a member of the board of directors of Anthem (a Fortune 50 company and the largest U. S. health insurance company by member), The Lord Abbett Family of Funds, (a $200+ billion New York-based mutual fund management firm), and many more leadership roles.

She was previously on the board of Lend Lease, based in Sydney, Australia, (a $9 billion international construction, development, investment and management firm, publicly traded on the Australian exchange), and Holcim (US), the US operation of a Swiss company, as well as several other public corporate boards. From 1991-1998, Ms. Hill was president and chief executive officer in the US of Costain Homes, a division of the Costain Group based in London, England.

She was previously a senior executive with Mobil Land Development Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia, a division of Mobil Oil. Ms. Hill is active in numerous philanthropic endeavors.

She is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of California at Irvine (UCI), and is a past Chair of the UCI CEO Roundtable. She is a board member of Leaders’ Quest, and the Alliance for SoCal Innovation. She was a long-time Chair of the board of directors of Human Options, a shelter for abused women and children.

As CEO of Costain Homes, the company built the ULI award-winning domestic violence shelter. She served on the board of directors of the Orange County Community Foundation. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum and Los Angeles Trusteeship, and is a prior member of the Women’s Leadership Board of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.

She is the past Chair of the Paul Merage School of Business board, and has served in various other capacities for the School of Social Ecology, the School of Biological Sciences, the School of Humanities, and the Women’s Opportunities Center. She has received the Amelia Earhart Award from the Women’s Opportunities Center, as well as the Glass Ceiling Award from the American Red Cross. Ms.

Hill earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from UCLA, and a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Georgia. Charu Thomas Charu Thomas ( video interview page ) founded Ox in 2017 to transform and optimize manual processes throughout their supply chain quickly. Charu’s first job was in a food distribution center that served McDonald’s North America, where she built automation and process improvement tools within the supply chain.

While complete automation systems were incredibly efficient, they required substantial capital expenditures and space and didn’t make sense from an ROI standpoint in some cases. It prompted her to consider other options to enable more efficiency without significant infrastructure changes. While pursuing her degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech’s #1 ranked program, she stumbled upon a research opportunity in wearable technology with the premier expert in the field, Thad Starner.

She learned about the value of software and hardware-enabled software as a possible way to minimize infrastructure changes while improving efficiency. Ox builds tech that makes order fulfillment more efficient. Clients include top Fortune 500 retailers.

In 2019, Thomas relocated to Northwest Arkansas for the Fuel Accelerator and never left. Premier institutions have recognized her work, like Microsoft, the USPTO, and ACM. Thomas has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Business Insider, and TechCrunch.

She’s been named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and was included in AMP’s 2020 Future 50 list, recognizing the future drivers of Arkansas’ economic, political, and even cultural engines. Theadora Sauvé Theadora Sauvé ( video interview page ) is 22 years old She has just graduated from McGill University with a commerce degree and a concentration in human resources & labour relations. As a result of her high academic achievements and exceptional leadership skills, she was appointed as the 2022 Valedictorian.

As for her future plans, she plans to continue her studies in Law. She believes the power of Law will serve as a powerful tool for peacemaking. After being coached for many years while training to be a national figure skater, she later pursued her own coaching experience.

As a very enthusiastic, ambitious and determined young individual, she hopes to encourage peacemaking by promoting the Nonflict way. Hence, why she is involved with the youth initiative of Million Peacemakers; with her co-chair Gian, they have built a team of approximately 120 peacemakers. With this team, they hope to empower youth worldwide to co-create a culture of peace, where differences are understood as opportunities to co-create and where no one is left behind.
