Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Destiny 2 Bungie We have about two weeks left until the launch of season 18, and there really is not all that much to do in Destiny 2 at the moment besides the Solstice grind, which I would…honestly not recommend sinking all that much time into. But one good thing about the way Destiny 2 is set up now, you can work on long term goals like crafting at the same time you’re doing a bunch of other stuff.

We know Arc 3. 0 is coming, and though we do not know really anything about it other than a generalized focused on “speed,” it’s a safe bet that having some quality arc- based weapons is a good idea. And there are a number that you can craft that you might want to think about maxing before season 18 rolls around.

Here are my picks: Destiny 2 Bungie 1. Sweet Sorrow (Stats for All/One for All) – This is a Risen auto rifle that feels absolutely insane with the SFA/OFA combo, and that’s assuming we’re going to get some sort of weapon handling/reload boosts from Arc 3. 0 itself.

This is one of my favorite autos in recent memory, and I can already tell it will get a lot of use next season. Where to farm patterns: PsiOps battlegrounds from Season of the Risen, weekly frame focusing at HELM with upgrade. Nezerec’s Whisper (Impulse Amplifier/Frenzy) – It’s the only legendary arc glaive in the game right now, and glaives are extremely strong, no matter what the hive mind may tell you. This is probably my favorite roll on this, though since I also had that on The Enigma, I gave myself a Demolitionist/Adrenaline Junkie one just for grenade shenanigans, which again, probably will be fun for Arc 3. 0.

Where to farm patterns: Nightmare Containment/Sever in Season of the Haunted, weekly focus at HELM with upgrade. Destiny 2 Bungie 3. Insidious (One for All/Dragonfly) – Yes, a few on this list are from Vow of the Disciple, and this thing can hit like a truck with One for All active, which you can trigger off Dragonfly, one of the only combos like this in the whole game.

There are plenty of other good rolls if that’s a little out there for you (I also have a Rapid Hit/Adrenaline Junkie), but it’s a top notch pulse that feels great in most circumstances. Where to farm patterns: Vow of the Disciple raid, weekly frame available on first clear. Destiny 2 Bungie 4.

Forbearance (Ambitious Assassin/Chain Reaction) – Cannot leave out one of the best mob-clearing weapons in the game, the only wave frame GL that can roll Chain Reaction. Again, it’s from Vow, but there are few things out there more worth the time investment, as this is one of the best PvE specials in Destiny history. Where to farm patterns: Vow of the Disciple raid, weekly frame available on first clear.

Destiny 2 Bungie 5. Edge of Concurrence (Hunter Exotic) – There are only two more legendary arc weapons you can even craft, but I’m not going to recommend the bad auto or bad GL from the Witch Queen collection. Rather, I do think you may want to keep an eye on Edge of Concurrence, given that it just got a massive damage buff last season, and its exotic perk can insta-kill enormous clusters of enemies now with its wave lightning.

If any exotic has a chance at synergizing with Arc 3. 0 triggers, I feel like it may be this one, even if I still wish Bungie would rework the functionality of all three of these glaives. Where to farm pattern: A zillion Wellspring runs, though you only need a singular pattern to drop.

You do not have to run it on Hunter. Those are my picks. Plenty of good slot 1 weapons to get too, but I wanted to stick with the arc theme here for now.
