Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Destiny 2 Bungie Bungie has been hit or miss when it comes to new Destiny 2 exotic offerings the past few seasons. Either they are god’s gift to the subclass , or they are so bizarre and pointless that they may as well not exist at all. This is a weirdly common trend, and I think it’s important that before we keep getting waves and waves of new 3-batch exotics every season, that we go back and fix some of these duds.
Among the ones that come to mind: Destiny 2 Bungie Nothing Manacles (Warlock arms, Season of the Lost) – These were brought back and more or less bugged from the start. I’m not sure they were ever fully fixed, but if they were, they have nothing on Contraverse Hold when they should be a viable void build option. Destiny 2 Bungie MORE FOR YOU The Inside Story Of Papa John’s Toxic Culture BYD Powers EV Ecosystem, Policy Support For Internet Companies Articulated Truffle Hunting In Castelfalfi: Learn How To Discover This Delicacy In Tuscany Rain of Fire (Warlock boots, Season of the Risen) – I was actually really excited to hear that a new exotic would be buffing something to do with Fusion Rifles.
The problem is the entire exotic is based around the concept of airborne effectiveness, which everyone hates, and no one is going to use their exotic slots to buff AE on fusions and linear fusions. This needs to be reworked to have nothing to do with AE at all. Destiny 2 Bungie No Backup Plans (Titan arms, Season of the Lost) – These were moderately cool before void 3.
0 arrived and overshields became plentiful. Now they barely feel worthwhile and surprise, they snuck in an AE buff to try to make them more useful. Nope.
Destiny 2 Bungie Point-Contact Cannon Brace (Titan arms, Season of Plunder) – This is half the reason this list was written at all. This was so accidentally strong when it first launched it was disabled almost immediately, now it’s been nerfed to the point where its extra lightning charges are best known for tickling dregs in the EDZ starting zone. I don’t like the Thunderclap melee all that much to start with, but this needs dramatic help.
Destiny 2 Bungie Blight Ranger (Hunter helm, Witch Queen) – Ugh, this thing. Reflecting projectiles for increased damage may sound cool on paper, but now with arc 3. 0 this is even less useful (and it wasn’t useful before) since everyone is using the other super.
Raiju’s Harness is in a similar situation but since it’s not “new,” having arrived with Season of the Worthy, I won’t list it separately here. But same issues. Destiny 2 Bungie Renewal Grasps (Hunter arms, Witch Queen) – These got hard, hard nerfed with an absolutely insane cooldown that decimated their functionality in PvE, where previously, they were pretty fun.
That needs to be reverted. Destiny 2 Bungie Radiant Dance Machines (Hunter legs, Season of the Lost) – Another exotic that was bugged to be briefly too strong, disabled and then brought back and never touched again. It needs more than multiple dodges in a small window to ever be considered useful.
And don’t even think about making it buff Airborne Effectiveness. Those are my picks. I skipped weapons for now as I don’t think those exotics are quite as lacking as these armor pieces, generally speaking.
