in. The JKBOSE has scheduled the Class 10 exams for the soft zone areas to be conducted from March 7 to April 3, 2024. Additionally, the board exams for Class 11 in these areas will commence on March 30 and conclude on April 25.
As for the Jammu and Kashmir Class 12 board exams, they are set to take place from March 6 to March 28, 2024. For the hard zones in the state, the board will soon release a separate date sheet. According to JKBOSE records, there are 444 schools in hard zones, comprising 309 in Jammu and 135 in the Kashmir division.
Additionally, seven zones in the Kargil district and the entire Ladakh area fall under hard zones. In the previous academic year, out of 1,48,701 students who appeared for the JK Class 10 board exams, 1,18,791 successfully cleared the exams, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 79. 89%.
The pass percentages were 78. 23% for boys and 81. 68% for girls.
In the JK Class 12 board exams, 1,27,636 students participated, and 82,441 students qualified, indicating a successful outcome.
