Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Overwatch 2 hero Winston Blizzard Entertainment As promised , Blizzard has provided another update on the state of Overwatch 2 ’s launch issues… as well as some other ones that have popped up more recently. For one thing, there’s a new problem that’s preventing players from accessing all of their heroes. The company said it’s working to take care of that issue as soon as possible.

The good news is that the devs have figured out what’s causing this problem — an issue with a server that tracks player progress — so here’s hoping that will be ironed out quickly. This is similar to an issue that affected the game at launch. Returning players from Overwatch 1 should have had access to all the heroes right away, but some were accidentally slotted into the First Time User Experience .

Most of the original game’s heroes are initially locked for new players. That problem seems far more widespread now, though. I’m seeing locked heroes for the first time on my accounts too.

Mystery Heroes seems fine for now, though! More people should be playing Mystery Heroes. Next up, there are still reports of players seeing the dreaded LC-208 error, which is preventing them from logging in, despite Blizzard implementing some fixes over the weekend . More fixes are on the way, though.

Hang tight for now if you’re seeing that error. Hopefully, you’ll make it in soon. Elsewhere, Blizzard has temporarily yanked Bastion from all game modes and Torbjörn from Competitive Play.
