Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Devil Dinosaur Marvel In my seemingly endless series covering the new game I’m obsessed with, Marvel Snap, I figured I’d give some more advice to new players as the first mini-season comes to a close. I’ve talked about beginner decks before, but I wanted to highlight some strong Pool 1 cards that new players may want to slot into any deck, given their relative strength. Here are some of the strongest cards in Pool 1, which exists from when you start, to Collection Rank 215.
You should get all these cards by the end. Once you get into “mystery” card reveals, you will start getting random cards from within that pool until you have them all by the time you “graduate. ” 1 Power Marvel Snap Marvel Elektra – She destroys any one power card, making her a prime choice for picking off early Zoo targets like Ant-Man.
You can also save her for later once 1 power units are getting buffed up and your opponent is getting confident. Yondu – Just instantly nukes the next card in your opponents’ deck. In decks where they might only have a single six drop for their last turn combos, this can change the whole game by itself with the right destroyed card.

Chiefs Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tennessee’s 5 Game Winning Streak Faces The Ultimate Test Asia Pacific’s Vast Open Banking Opportunity Korg – Throws a rock into their deck, which may make them drawing whole turn a complete dud. And once that rock is in their deck, it can be pulled out by land that plays cards from your hand, or things like that.
Squirrel Girl – A core staple of a Zoo deck that wants to flood the board as easily as possible. Also can win you random games with a single squirrel in a “no cards can be played here” lane. 2 Power Cable Marvel Cable – Not much power by himself but it’s a free card from your opponent’s deck and a potential option for future players.
Lets you know what they have, and boosts your hand for things like Devil Dinosaur drops later. Colossus – His inability to be destroyed or have his power reduced can sometimes singlehandedly win games if you put him on heavy power-reducing land or ones that will insta-kill anything that goes there. Scarlet Witch – She has the power to zap land into something else entirely, so if you see your opponent building up a specific piece of land based on a certain strategy, you can derail everything they’ve set out to do.
Lizard – Massive power for two energy and commits your opponent to filling up their side of the board if they want to take him down a notch. He’s ongoing, but immune to anything Enchantress can do to him. 3 Power Ironheart Marvel Ironheart – Better in decks with Odin, considering the potential for double trigger, but her boosts to three different allied cards will absolutely help your board.
Morph – Morph is a gamble, but if he clones something power from your opponent’s hand on turn 3, you might just see them quit outright, which has happened many times to me. Mr. Fantastic – Six power for 3, plus he can be amplified by boosts to Ongoing heroes.
A core staple in many early decks even if you may use him less as time goes on. Wolfsbane – A key element of Zoo decks, a ton of power if played last in a lane for low energy cost. Can tip the balance of a lane easily.
4 Power Enchantress Marvel Enchantress – The ultimate trap card for shutting down decks heavily reliant on Ongoing power, she can instant nuke Devil Dinosaurs. Just make sure you also watch your side of the board… Namor – Have grown to love this guy, as you plant him by himself at turn 4 with 10 power, and your opponent has to figure out to commit to fighting against one guy in that lane, or ignoring him and letting you have it. Jessica Jones – Similar to Namor in concept, and there’s really nothing your opponent can do to stop you from getting her to 8 power the next turn over.
Moon Girl – Better paired withi other cards later, but Moon Girl duplicating your whole hand can be extremely useful, and she pairs great with Devil Dinosaur. Kazar – The main man behind Zoo decks boosting all 1 power cards. Can be Onslaughted to double that effect.
5 Power Iron Man Marvel Iron Man – He’s a basic starter card, but I think he has won me more games by himself than any other. The doubling of power in a lane is just wildly strong, especially during turn 5 where you still have a big drop on 6. Devil Dinosaur – A true monster of a card that can get 11-17 power just for five energy.
Can be boosted to the stratosphere with Iron Man or Onslaught Blue Marvel – Common in Zoo decks, but +1 to everything you own is good for pretty much all decks. Spider-Woman – Can be responsible for huge power swings with 7 power herself and zapping an entire side down -4 for a full enemy board. 6 Power Marvel Snap Marvel Snap Onslaught – For your Ongoing decks, doubling Devil Dinosaur power or putting Iron Man in a power-generating feedback loop.
Odin – For your On Reveal decks, double triggering cards like White Tiger or Ironheart Spectrum – Another option for Ongoing decks, or potentially Zoo decks, depending on your choice of cards. America Chavez – The perfect on-curve draw for that last boost of power you need to tip the game in your favor. Follow me on Twitter , YouTube , Facebook and Instagram .
