Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Destiny 2 Bungie Destiny 2 brought new story developments (a video on that later) and new gameplay challenges this week, but a few things are somewhat…amiss. I have some advice to give you in regard to three different aspects of this week’s reset , warnings that I think you should know before fully diving in, if you didn’t do so already yesterday. Destiny 2 Bungie 50 Champion Kills One of the strangest developments yesterday was the quest step that in order to progress the story, you need 50 champion kills, which seems insane.
It is. . .
not quite as much as it looks, but here’s how to do it. A normal champion kill somewhere like a Nightfall is indeed just 1 kill. You can run this week’s Nightfall maybe 4-5 times to rack up enough champion kills, if you snag them all.
Champion kills in seasonal activates count for more. In Expeditions, for instance, one champion kill counts as three. So doing that and Ketchcrash will make this go faster.
However, Master Ketchcrash will allow you to clear this almost instantly. Yes, it’s 1600 and not matchmade, but if you can LFG , you can clear this in two rooms because 1 champion here equals 13(!) champion kills for this quest step. The champions will either be Overload Captains or Anti-Barrier Servitors, and if you can kill four of them total, you’re done.
Two are in the first area, and you can just run that twice if you don’t want to do a full Master run. MORE FOR YOU ‘Demon Slayer’ Season 2 Finally Has An Actual 2021 Release Date Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Not A Sure Thing, Says Director ‘Genshin Impact’ Still Refuses To Increase Anniversary Rewards, Despite Fan Outcry Destiny 2 Bungie Umbral Upgrades You can unlock a choice of two different Umbral Energy boosting upgrades this week if you have been keeping up with the two upgrades you get per week via timegating. One gives you a treasure map for Double Umbral Energy and the other gives you “increased” Umbral Energy from treasure maps.
The difference here is that the double map will give you +6 Umbral Energy per run, while the Increase will instead give you +4. Do them both, and it will be +8, but you can’t do that until next week. What you choose here depends on how far you are with crafting, and what you want to accomplish.
If you really just want to target one weapon, do the double map. If you want to craft everything, maybe the other one, considering you can still run the weapon treasure map which gets you one weapon drop, guaranteed, per run, which can be a red frame. I chose the double map because I’m down to my last two weapons to craft, and I need to be focusing only, but I know most people are not in that situation.
Destiny 2 Bungie Guaranteed Deepsight Upgrade Broken While I swear this was working last week, the “Hidden Compartment” upgrade seems to have been broken with one of the recent hotfixes, as you are no longer guaranteed a red deepsight pattern drop for your first Ketchcrash completion. You may get one, as I did, but it’s luck, and I’ve seen enough reports of people not getting it to declare that yes, this is a bug, and you are not alone if you’re not getting a red drop. This sucks, given the lack of guaranteed focuses this season, and hopefully will be fixed soon.
