It’s time for your Sunday edition of the music-guessing game that seems to have taken the internet by storm this year (or at least became popular enough for Spotify to want to buy it).

Figuring out the song title isn’t always easy, so if you’re finding today’s game difficult, I’ve got Heardle clues and the answer coming up. Perhaps you haven’t tried Heardle before. If that’s the case, here’s how to play Heardle : You will hear the first second of a reasonably well-known song.

You’ll then try to guess the artist and title or skip your turn. If you skip or guess incorrectly, you’ll get to hear a little more of the song. The game continues until the sixth and final guess, at which point you’ll hear 16 seconds of the track.

Even Heardle veterans don’t play every single day, though. But if you don’t quite recognize it, here are some clues, followed by the answer.

Heardle Clues For August 13 This song is in the Britpop and alternative rock genres. It was released in 1997. It reached number 12 on the U.

S. Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the U. K.

singles chart. It’s built around a sample of an orchestral version of the Rolling Stones song “The Last Time. ” A resulting copyright battle meant that the artist behind this song had to forego all royalties from it for over 20 years.
