co/wfmVihUvoE — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) May 21, 2022 While Mahindra participating in the joke certainly makes it funnier, however, the comment also shows the trust he has in the product’s toughness and safety. A few years ago, after the XUV300 scored a 5-star safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP), the company had said that going forward all its new models will receive either 4 or 5 stars in Global NCAP crash tests. Since then, Mahindra has launched two new models – the new Thar, and the XUV700, and sure enough, both have scored a 4- and 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests, respectively.
And so, the new-gen Scorpio has to live up to this expectation. We do not know yet, whether, GNCAP will crash test the car, but when it does, we’ll surely be the first to tell you about it.
